What a massive mess, there's a chance that the VIP tickets will not be refunded because they were sold separately. The German team is blaming the Korean organizer, while the Korean organizer deleted his FB-account and is not reachable. People are speculating that not enough tickets were sold.

MESS MESS MESS
I feel really bad for everyone who was looking forward to it and had everything planned already. Even if you may get refunded, what about travel expenses, hotel, etc. etc...
I'm secretly glad I wasn't even able to go in the first place. I wonder how the artists reacted when they heard the news.
ugh, I can't at that Korean company disappearing like the wind and probably taking all the money with them since the VIP tickets were directly sold by them. Shady as f*ck if you ask me. I hope something can be done.

it seemed shady and was going messy here and there so its not a huge surprise. im so glad my purchase didnt go through and my credit card wasnt being accepted tho.
but i feel so bad for everybody who purchased it, im hoping everybody gets their money back. i also feel bad for the german team if they are being honest ugh, i knew it was badly organized but not like this.

that's a shame, the lineup was really good. It probably was the korean side's fault tbh, they (as a whole) seem to be very disorganized when it comes to overseas concerts. god knows how many were canceled in South America alone

what a fucking mess. i was so disappointed that i couldn't afford to go and now i feel so bad for everyone who paid already.

deleting the facebook account after the fact is so fucking shady. i wonder how many vip tickets were sold

I've read some tweets about a korean organizer running away with the money.
This is so messy.

At least starlights can still go see vixx that same weekend. Fans of Other groups dont get to see their bias though.
And i guess it's sayonara for a big byeong reunion.

Really? I think jelpi can come up with a few thousands for flights.
It wouldnt be good for vixx' image.

Just got off of Tumblr and it was so disappointing reading how so many people paid over 100-200 bucks to fly there, hotels, etc, and it just got cancelled. I do hope they get their money back.

Hotels/Airlines do refunds right? If less than 24 hours? I hope they get 100% refund.

im reading some comments on the fb page of ppl saying they cant get refunds for the hotel and flights, this is really a huge nightmare for everyone :/

Wow really. Ive never heard about airlines not giving refunds. Then again, ive never flown to europe.
I hope they at least get to keep it in their account and use it to some other time, even if it's not cash refund, at least the money didnt just disappear.

Only if you booked that option. Otherwise you won't get any money back.

idk if you ppl have it in america/anywhere else besides europe but u can book cheap flights from 'low cost' companies that is basically a seat on a metallic flying box, meaning u wont have all the commodities and benefits from regular airlines. Im guessing most fans are from north european countries and were flying cheap to germany so this might be their case ><

Oh now i remember Philippines has "budget airlines" that mostly fly to domestically and nearby countries. No refunds/re-schedules/food/baggage allowance. I thought only Philippines have that bec it's not a rich country. Didn't know Europe had it as well.

I've only took long haul flights from either Cathay Pacific/Asiana Airlines. And while i've never cancelled a flight, I've rescheduled a bunch moving the dates up to 6 months later, and it's free. For cathay pacific, i remember i could re-schedule up to two times for free.

From: [identity profile] pbutterlion.livejournal.com
its actually a really good way to travel europe imo lol no one wants to spend all their money on flights anymore.
yes rescheduling i think in a certain time limit is fine but i dont think this is what the people who were flying to germany just for the k-culture festival will want, they probably just want to get their money back asap. cant even imagine the struggle they are going through rn >

low cost airlines usually don't give refunds unless you pay an extra for cancellation and I'm not even sure it covers all the situations.
and it happened to me with british airways too, there was this time I had a flight back from japan booked but eventually I had to come back earlier so I never got on that flight and they never refunded anything

Date: 2014-08-27 01:09 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hearttaek.livejournal.com
You didnt try re-scheduling your flight to an earlier date? If you dont show up on a flight, it's as good as gone. But i think you could have called earlier, (like i believe 48 hours earlier?) you can have it changed.

I've changed flight dates a lot. But i've only flown on Asiana Airlines/Cathay Pacific. (LAX > CEB)

When i was in the Philippines, we would fly with Philippines Airlines (which is not the budget airline option in the country) for domestic trips, and would often just book another flight bec sometimes it's cheaper than paying a re-schedule fee.

From: [identity profile] sakuragirl24.livejournal.com
it was a flight scheduled 5 months later and I couldn't reschedule it on the moment, I had to leave immediately because Fukushima. I still tried to reschedule it later and tried to cancel it and it didn't work, I called everywhere and they never refunded anything. I'm not sure why tbh maybe I did something wrong

Date: 2014-08-27 01:21 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] hearttaek.livejournal.com
That sucks. And you couldnt even get mileage points since you didnt board the flight.
And you must have bought your tix last minute too. That makes it more expensive.

Date: 2014-08-27 01:28 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] sakuragirl24.livejournal.com
ugh those were just bad times. It was even more expensive because last minute and because everyone was trying to get on a plane and leave the country asap.

Date: 2014-08-27 01:29 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] atopworld.livejournal.com
Nope, as mentioned, some people booked everything prior, so it would definitely be non-refundable on those ends.

Date: 2014-08-27 01:54 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] michi z. (from livejournal.com)
But just because you book a hotel prior doesn't mean you can't get refunds/cancel your stay. The hotels I'm staying at whenever I go to Germany or also the hotels here in Austria you can cancel till the day you get there. You don't have to pay in advance but pay for your booked room when you arrive at the hotel. And it is like this with other hotels as well. Though it always depends on their conditions of course.

I guess it's harder with flights and it always depends on the conditions of the airline and if you have travel insurance but I guess the people who wanted to go to KCF most likely have non-refundable flights which sucks big time!

i knew this would happen. somehow.
this festival seemed fishy from the start and i was almost tempted but everything was so messy... (thank god bap cancelled it in the end because if not i would have probably bought tickets and urgh)
this is so upsetting. when you think about the plane/train tickets and hotel nights you have to buy and then this.
i'm really sorry for anybody who was supposed to go.

Having the facebook deleted is very shady. I wonder what it's name?
Cause 2 years in NZ, one week before the kpop concert, the staff were desperately trying to sell the tickets at discounted price then later at night announced it was cancelled. I know all my close friends who try to get refunds. They even visited the office but it was all packed up and gone!

lol was this the kpop concert with verbal jint last year? lmao i went to their "office" and it was so shady. it was bound to fail anyways, they expected way too many people and the tickets were far too expensive.

was it last year? cant remember but yea. that one. New Zealand has way too little kpop fans to have a proper kpop concert.

It was basically the same for this concert. They had to sell 6,000 tickets before last week and only sold 4,000. They were having promo's on their website the last month, buy 2 tickets and get 1 poster for free, buy 3 tickets and get a free CD etc etc (idk exactly how it was but something like this). Also I'm in a group called "Kpop Belgium" with 1,500 members & we got an offer from them last month, if we bought 50+ tickets we could get a 20% discount or something. So they were really desperate to sell those tickets.. Too bad it didn't work out :(

A big venue like this needs a superstar tbh, Big Bang, SJ, TVXQ,.. VIXX & idk what others groups came won't do.

I'm living in Germany and I didn't even KNOW about this event o_O (Well, I'm not really active on fb and such and I often miss things...) I'm shocked to read that the organization was such a mess! >.< This is really bad... people are not getting refunded for their VIP tickets?! >.< This sucks so much! I feel sorry for those who already got their tickets and now get disappointed that much... really, what a mess...

this pretty much sucks...

I already paid my trip to Germany and the hotel ... which none are refunded since i found some really good price.

I can at least thank the heavens I didn't buy the concert ticket in advance... and a little city trip to Dusseldorf can't be all that bad...

But for everyone that bought a concert ticket, I hope they will all be refunded... and for the organizers to be found so that justice can be served!
