ZE:A's Junyoung changes stage name to Lee Hoo, gives a really sad speech at ZE:A's Day

Our ZE:A… Mmm… Kwanghee, Hyungsik, Dongjun, Siwan, they’re really popular… ZE:A ins’t just 4 members… It was hard gathering all 9 of us together and it has been about 8 years since we’ve practiced together. To be honest, everyone, please don’t hate on SE. SE which has caused hardship for our members… WE want to buy it and form a new company under the name “ZE:A”. If it’s weird and won’t work out, I’ll just buy over our boss now can I? In that way, everyone can listen to the (our) music which you guys love. But there’s something which you guys have to do: protect us in order for us to continue in the future. You guys know what I mean, right? It’s achievable, right? Also, please don’t hate on SE too much.

To be honest I myself have hated SE… (Fans giggling) Yeah, I’ve hated SE, but we talked thing out. They’re people who help us and not ones who bring us pain. So, I’ve talked to the boss a lot. Also… What kind of idol stands up here and grabs the mic and says that he hates his own company now, who does that? There isn’t right? It needs a person with confidence now why? We have our remaining 8 members and our fans are powerful and tough, no? The people here, even if there’s only one person who meets my eye (makes eye contact with me), I’ll continue singing (for that person). Now everyone, you can’t hae on SE ok? If you guys fight with SE, we can’t sing. You know what I mean right? I won’t say thing again in the future and from now, I’ll show my crazy side on stage.

Now, you are curious of what I meant by being crazy on stage, right? “Why is our Moon Leader like this? Why is our Junyoung-ie like this?” There are bound to be people who think like this but you guys know my personality, right? That’s why I don’t feel embarrassed in front of you guys. I can be cool/handsome, I can be cute at times. For the sake of you guys, I can show all of it. But! You guys would help us with our company, right? Man, I’ll just buy everything. *smiles* One thing though, we’re called ZE:A because we’re Children of Empire, no? We have to continue using this name. If it wasn’t for SE, our members, one by one, wouldn’t have made it, am I right? That’s why we made up with the company and promised to coexist in peace. You guys would help us, right? Ok now, I’ll show you guys what I meant by being a crazy man on stage.

Oh wait, I haven’t introduced the members yet, right? Do know that I am very proud to do this, ok? Now our Kwanghee… Is there any other idol whose variety skill is better than his? Now that’s ZE:A for you. Is there any idol whose acting skills is better than Siwan’s? Now that’s ZE:A’s Siwan for you. For Hyungsik… *stops awhile to think about what to say* Now who can be a son (from a rich family) like him? I don’t think there are idols who ride foreign cars like him. Oh, left with Dongjunnie. Is there any idol who does things better than him? That’s ZE:A for you. Have you seen a kid who is strong, speaks this well and is this handsome? That’s your leader right here. *referring to himself keke* Now, next, our Taeheonnie. (translator couldn’t make out this part) That’s ZE:A for you. Next, our Heecheollie. There isn’t an idol who can be like Heecheollie, putting down everything and communicating with/talking to everyone, you know that right? Now who am I left with? Oh yeah Kevin. There’s no one who is like our Kevin who prepares diligently for his solo album for 8 years. Kevin has to do it, in order for us ZE:A to continue to stick together. You guys would help us? (JY then said something about recording for music programs and asked if fans would come, they said yes) Now, our Minwoo. I don’t even have to praise him. There’s no one like him. He can do everything. With that, 9 of us have gathered. Now the members are gonna come out soon but we’re not gonna sing. We’re just gonna talk/communicate with you guys so just take nice pics/vids and upload onto the internet and show that “ZE:A is this kind of group”, you guys can do that, right? But can you guys still go crazy and enjoy yourself while filming? *fans answered yes* In that case, stan up then.

nice to know that even ze:a fans are having a hard time with SE's bullshit as well. I read junyoung went through depression because of ze:a and se, and when they made up he wanted to start fresh.

personally im sick and tired of SE, i'm upset that they made up with their management because it sounds like they won't be starting their own company and that means 0 chance of them taking 9muses with them. It would probably be really hard for ze:a to leave and start their own company anyways. I wonder how Jewelry and Soreal are doing? Probably worse than 9muses and ze:a, but we just don't know about it because they have no fanbase anymore :(

I'm imagining a million and one things that could have happened at the company for Junyoung to make up with them. I'm not surprised SE doesn't want to give them up. Siwan, Kwanghee, Hyungsik and Dongjun are probably the only ones making money for the company and they'll lose a ton of income if they leave.

And Junyoung telling fans to trust them, not to hate SE etc. makes me feel like the company threatened the group or something.....

What's going on between fans and SE? I've seen post about it but they're all in korean and hangul and online translators don'work well together so I haven't been able to figure out what was going on.

sorry for the book im about to write(also if youre asking about ze:a fans i have no clue, but if it's 9m fans, im your guy):

9muses' fans held a boycott against SE due to 3 members leaving within months and them throwing in a new member just like that with no official statement on Sera AND JUST TIRED OF THEIR SHIT TBH. It went on for a month or two with the whole "i-fans vs. k-fans" shit, with majority of i-fans not in support of the boycott. That was fun.

A single news source published a news article regarding SE vs. 9muses fans which lead fans to believe SE went through this news site to give an "unofficial official statement" which just pissed off fans even more because why would you even do that?? why can't they speak through their own company and communicate to the fans? (unconfirmed of course but thats just what fans choose to believe). IIRC a SE staff came forward and said none of that article was provided by SE..

After a while the 9m kfans called off their boycott because SE had failed to even ACKNOWLEDGE the fans and address them. they just felt it was useless to continue if there wouldn't be any resolution or communication between the two groups.

Fast forward and news articles came out saying they were having trouble finding members to fit the group, that there would be 1-2 new members joining and that their comeback would be delayed by a month. AND NOW they just announced a 9muses/ZE:A subunit group which pushes 9muses comeback even more, which made fans even more frustrated. 9muses fans now hate SE even more. It has been a stressful couple months for 9muses fans lol

It's hard for them. I hope they pull through. They manage to stick together through thick and thin as 9...A lot of the girls in 9Muses fell through because they just can't deal with all the sh*t from SE. I hope ZE:A stick together and leave the company while staying together.

the fact that they even considered buying out the company (or buy their name from the company?) gives me hope about the future of the group tbh esp with those rumours right before breathe ;; i could definitely see them pulling out eventually if they're still together in a few years time.

we'll never find out what happened but since kwanghee, siwan, dj, and hyungsik are basically the money makers of the entire company, i'm guessing it went something like the company didn't think all four of them would leave w/ the group, and were wrong - so they just agreed to "coexist in peace" and not interfere w/ the group's things, and if they do - they threaten to leave again, etc.

there was a rumour that if breathe didn't do well ze:a would be disbanded (tbh i sorta believed it since they seemed different for that cb (like a "we're going out on a happy note" way) and then the promo was cut short but thankfully that was not the case)

Leave SE. They are screwing themselves over by not properly promoting their groups and "punishing fans." Does SE not understand when you punish fans, they get no money from fans. How is SE still a company and heavily rely on individual members of select groups? They do know contracts have an expiration date and they would pretty much collapse when those members leave.

Oh wow. Four members have hit it big but those were definitely on their own merits and not the company's.
I wish these boys the best since im fond of some of them. If they're staying, i hope they got the demands they wanted.
If they leave, i hope they dont get banned/blocked by devils in suits.

I hope my bias, or anyone really, never have to deal with something like this.

Star Empire is the only company I have a very strong dislike for. They've always been messy and annoying but they've really done it this year. I don't know about their other groups but how they manage ZE:A is horrible and i hate them for it. You'd think with 4 popular members in a group they would at least try but they don't. They treat the fans even worse. ZE:A had an event in Malaysia in Jan that got cancelled and they JUST started the refund process last month..I mean..seriously? Not to mentioned these round of promotions which they half assed. Not to mention the fan meeting which they changed the date 3 times...I could go on forever. This company just makes me so angry. They still owe me like $50..and I'm pretty sure I'm very getting it back
