it would be rushed anyway. they made the choice to wait for Teuk (insert eye roll here that they waited), and now they have to get the album done so Shindong can be included before he is army bound this month. And Sungmin is rumoured to go in soon as well.
im forever eyerolling at #waitforleeteuk and 6jib was rushed because he had to enlist. fuck him tbh. ugghhhhh I need sungmin in ss6 in my country or I won't go at all
SS6 seoul sold out pretty quick, the tickets were reasonably priced
hoping SM manages the tour better this time round, SS5 was the biggest scale they've had as a group and i think they'd want to expand that but it has to be well planned and managed. hoping for the best!
they seem to be marketing ss6 a lot more than 7jib…. which is kinda worrying tbh
SS5 was so weirdly planned. it was like they didn't know where they were going. a lot of places were squeezed in at the end of the year than BAM! okay no more tour. and the lack of notice to fans has always been a big issue that SM doesn't understand. they could sell MORE if they gave a list beforehand like Western artists - cause we know many would travel to multiple shows.
sadly i think the European fans screwed themselves over by not supporting London and waiting out to see if there was going to be Paris (even when they said it wasn't going to happen.) I'm hoping they didn't and it makes SM go back to Paris where they know they can sell out. SM doesn't want to lose too much money when they take the tour out of Asia.
i do get a feeling they may go back to Mexico and South America, at least Brazil. and if they are smart (please SM be smart this ONE TIME!!! ) they can save on costs and just do a US show, even if it is LA (they do a layover there anyway). i get that they don't do shows back to back traveling wise because their artists have other commitments, but this one is really a no brainer. (or my wish that US had a SS6, although i prefer NYC)
Super Shows/concerts make more money than albums. So i can see why SM is focused on that. SM is lazy and relay mostly on fans for album sales, rather than trying to get new fans.
SS5 was so weirdly planned, especially by the end of it. clearly they had problems getting concert organisers in the countries because the spacing between the shows was rly weird
i think south american countries are definitely getting another go, i think. but yeah SS5 london, the prices were kinda ridiculous, timing was too soon and thats why they lost money there
ugh idk, feel like I've mostly been witnessing how dumb sm has been with super shows these past few years tho lol
i really do not understand why they aren't getting sponsors from some of their international companies they deal with....at least for some of the shows. Samsung, Hyundai, Kia, and i'm sure there are a few other Korean brands which are world wide that could benefit in sponsoring some of the shows.
i get the feeling SM puts ALOT on the concert organizers, and it is one of the few reasons why prices are so high outside of korea.
we have seen how stubborn SM was at first with South America, how they didn't want to strip down the show into smaller venues. again that big fish floundering in the small pond. when they did, fans showed up. we have also seen other groups with ticket prices less than SM tour around the world, so we know that is possible to go smaller and do well.
SM kills itself, and tickets from selling out by their stupidity of not announcing/planning things early - which maybe is a tell with their relationships with the organizers. i remember the Philippines had August all set, then SM changed it because they (SM) had a conflict.
this company has just been annoying me so much lately.

It's why I'm surprised they haven't come back to NYC even for SMTown. An acquaintance of mine works for LG or Samsung (not sure which one, he's switched between the two) and one of them sponsored the MSG show and he got free tickets through work. We ended up running into each other outside of the show.
I really wish they'd announce SS6 in the US. Personally, I'd love it to be NYC, even if I think LA would make more sense for them. COME TO THE US!!
How much of that is SM potentially half-assing 7jib (even more than expected) versus SM just not giving a shit about promoting SJ in the first place (like them never mediaplaying or anything) unless it's something they need to let people know about like the tour? If that makes sense...I mean, is this the usual neglect put forth to promote SJ's music p/achievements or is it something more?
it's their first concert in Korea in a while, first album in over 2 years, Leeteuk's return, and the venue is smaller than usual from what I understood.
How many dates and cities do sj (and dbsk if you're aware) usually go to in china? I've always thought kpop only did shanghai and bejing but exo has been going to all these different cities and did multiple dates in most of them. I thought well, maybe bec they have an entire unit dedicated to the market, but so does sj and i dont recall them doing as much tour dates in china?
Anyone else heard news about a date in February for Toronto? I'm skeptical but still kind of wanting to believe in SM artists finally coming to Canada after all these years.
