Article: Park Bom's coordi counter disses? "Everyone thinks they can do hip hop now"

Source: Sports Seoul via Nate

"I guess nowadays everyone thinks they can do hip hop and act up like this with a diss. The ink on your new social security card hasn't even dried up yet and you're speaking informally to your senior like that? ㅋㅋ Your gut must be swollen to the point of popping out of your belly if you think you can do that without facing a retirement at your debut~ If you want to diss, you need to at least make sure it's someone you're close enough with that you can go face to face and grab a meal with ㅋㅋㅋ"

1. [+721, -91] Oh look, the one running errands is acting up ㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+659, -69] Check if the coordi's on drugs too ㅋㅋㅋ

3. [+642, -89] I don't know, do you really think a criminal is worth treating like a senior?

4. [+84, -9] Crazy b*tch, how about you manage your own celebrity. Your celebrity's like a druggie criminal, you like working under someone like that?

5. [+82, -5] Can I laugh for a second... "Everyone thinks they can do hip hop" ㅋㅋㅋ You do realize the representative of that is 2NE1? You think Sandara Park isn't trying to get in on hip hop? Isn't she a special judge on Show Me the Money? Honestly speaking, Kemy's a better rapper than CL

6. [+81, -9] Who are you to be criticizing when you're practically a slave for celebrities because you're too dumb to do anything else. Maybe it's just your lack of education showing right here.

7. [+70, -4] You're nothing but a slave, who are you to be talking? Are you shielding her because your drug source is gone too?

8. [+65, -3] Oh man~ Look at the coordi of a grand senior talk ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

9. [+49, -4] I guess everyone thinks they can be a coordi now ㅋㅋ

10. [+37, -0] I was a Park Bom fan... but I'm so mad at her that she's doing nothing and just hiding like this.. no clarifications, no further investigations.. Can she call herself a singer of hip hop when she's hiding behind her company weaiting for others to handle it all for her? If she had a truth to tell, she would've told it already... and that's why I'm disappointed. Stop ignoring your fans... and have some respect. You're nothing without your fans.

IIRC most blacjack told her it wasn't her place to reply
I don't think anyone should reply tbh, that's exactly what Kemy/Doo republic wants
Blackjacks are going hard on them though, it's all very childish

I blame her label mostly tbh
That was really low on their part

Netizens stay pressed with a old case though

Stay pressed, assholes netizens.

Still feel bad for Bom in all of this. This was unnecessary drama and undeserved hate imo.

A large chunk of the netizens who were commending Kemy seemed to be doing it because it meant someone was actually addressing the incident itself -- YG's total silence (and that of the media) frankly didn't help anything and aggravated matters, as far as I can see. (No other comment.)

i'm commenting the ones OP posted here. and the sentiment that i get is they actually think she's doing drugs/a criminal. and asfaik everyone that needs to say something has say something, YG had say something, there were those articles about her past, some lawyers had talk and stated that it's not a case, there was that interview with dispatch. if bom had to come out and say something, which i think she's not in the right condition to do so, i don't think it matters, bc obviously these people had decided to label her anyway.

Date: 2014-08-05 06:49 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] stoppedclock321.livejournal.com
...didn't the lawyers come specifically say that it was strange/unusual for there not to have been a case? That's what I think I remember seeing at any rate

IDK -- the thing is that YG hasn't said anything officially since Segye Ilbo started their part of the whole affair, which is why it looks so strange. Instead of having the last word (or any word, really) everyone's been super quiet and Bom's continued with activities/life without even that standard 'I'll apologize + reflect' statement that gets put out, so...yeah, pressed netizens are pressed.

ah. i read where the prosecutors said it wasn't a case and i thought everything was cleared up already.

she has nothing to apologize for though...and YG did release a statement and netizens decided it was all a lie. Nothing he says will matter because they're on a witch hunt.

Lawyers who know nothing about the details of the case though. It was all assumptions.

Cuz the way they do it in Korea is they go away. That's what all of them do when they are involved in a scandal of this sort. They'll drop activities and go into hiding or whatever. Do church activities that sort of thing. Bom didn't. I guess because YG thought that saying "she didn't do it," was enough. But korea takes that sort of accusation seriously and then you have other celebs like Heechul all like "yeah we knew" kind of making it worse. It's not a dating scandal, it's a drug scandal which is what makes it bad, that's why they won't drop it.

unpopular opinion

This whole situation is worse because of YG's track record with telling the truth- i.e. GD's situation. I personally don't believe Bom's story but I don't think she's dealing drugs or anything- I think she has other problems that she needs help with. I think that because she is so silent and her story has so many holes in it (the drugs hidden between candy) that people are coming after her.

Bom seems like she needs a long break from the entertainment industry-especially if she is as mentally fragile as blackjacks make her out to be.

OTOH I don't think Kemy's track is a big deal. She said her piece, she probably did it to get attention but so what. She's an entertainer. The kpop industry is not a big family - it's a competitive, dirty industry where people look out for themselves.

+1 to all of this (except perhaps the parts in Kemy's rap where she talked about Bom's looks).

agreed-I hate it when people try to "diss" by attacking looks. I may not always like a rap but if the artist uses their words skillfully then at least I can acknowledge their skill.

YG's track record is exactly the reason why this won't be dropped. I was talking to a friend about this, and we were saying that given how 2ne1 as a group has been doing for the past 4 year and just, very sluggish sales etc, and this, I'd be surprised if they make it unscathed as a group. I'm not even trying to be shady, but it's been rough for them for a while. This was just the tip of the iceberg.

2ne1 isn't a struggling group...like what are you even talking about? Besides SNSD, no other girl group sells as well as them nor holding successful concerts in multiple countries. They could be bigger but this year has been pretty damn successful for them.

tbh I get really uncomfortable with the way Blackjacks (and YG) try to infantilize Bom like she's a child. Even if she has mental health issues or what have you, treating her like a baby isn't the right answer. I get the sense that she doesn't like speaking out about personal things, but the way everyone talks over her and treats her like a baby is kind of patronizing and gross. It was one of the main problems I had with YG's letter.
