It could be coincidental though, there are so many similar-looking logos around especially those that fall in the typographic category and are monogram-type. The least SM could do was google RV logos if they were intent on using a monogram, and seeing that there are already several logos that adhered to that specific RV form they could have used another trick to make their logo unique. SM's just being lazy at this point.

I don't think any of this will hurt them in the long run. SM is the one doing the fuckups and getting the blame. None of it can be tied back to the girls who are actually acing their part of being likeable and singing well (in the end the only things netizens really care about).

All this will blow over soon but thanks to this daily news bombardment about this or that mishap, everyone will have heard about them. Some might even check out the mv to learn what the ruckus is about.

I think SM may be able to get away with this because in their defence, I think this MAY be a coincidence. If I were to make a logo for RV, I probably would have made it look like that too. This is evident in the fact that there are a few other companies with a similar logo if you look on Google images.
