JYJ’s New Album to Include Song Written by Chris Brown

Famous rapper Chris Brown has participated in composing a song on JYJ‘s upcoming album.

“Chris Brown’s song ‘Valentine’ will be the last track on JYJ’s second full album ‘Just Us’,” the agency said. “The recording was done in a studio in Los Angeles.”

“The song is armed with an addictive melody and sexy lyrics, which will maximize the charm of JYJ’s vocals,” the agency added.

Grammy Award-winning producer Lonny Bereal coproduced the song with Chris Brown. Bereal showed great satisfaction in working with the JYJ members, saying, “To the extent that I wouldn‘t be sure if any other artist besides JYJ pull off this song, an outstanding outcome has come about.”

JYJ’s new album will be released on music sites on July 29.

Either it's a nobody that simply has appeal as a non-Korean or in association with someone else... like Junsu's Incredible with Puff Daddy's son. Or it's with an artist that was super popular and fell out of favor for weird/criminal/jackass behavior. Lil Kim, Kanye, Chris Brown, Akon...

It's like Korea gets the memo (a little late) that so-and-so artist is mega famous and don't realize the major reason they're eventually getting an opportunity to work with them is because the artist has already screwed up their reputation and will work with anyone that will have them.

Seems all that matters is a name. So, 'Look! We're so cool we worked with ____!' in Korea can only be seen with a kind of hilarious second-hand embarrassment from our perspective."

i'm going to hell for laughing at the comments in this post. but seriously, it always weirds me out when idols list Chris Brown as one of their inspirations/idols b/c he's such a NO GO here. I get especially weirded out when it's an American kpop idol who lists Chris Brown b/c you'd think they wouldn't feel comfortable publicly admitting he's a fave of theirs.

I think they are looking more at his artistry than his personal life. Chris Brown is considered a very talented artist but what brings him down is his reputation. Boy can sing and dance his ass off. Personally I think that's something to admire. That other stuff he have major issues with in his life...not so much.

Omona is kind of known for its one track hate so it's not surprising that some like to jump on the hating bandwagon when opportunity allows, ignoring how hypocritical some opinions can be.

JYJ, Chris Brown and Lonny Bereal worked on this album in 2012 so I'd say it's more than just a bought song. I think they had some contribution to the way the song turned out.
