I'm more than sure they edited this to hell and back to make it sound more ~dramatic that what he actually said, but I'm pretty much in complete agreement with Sunggyu here lol. I thought his solo album was pretty good but none of Infinite's songs really do anything for me.
Oh they definitely did. And while I don't doubt he was feeling awful about the constant joking about it some of the others did, I wasn't here for the fandom going on a witch hunt and even starting to anti the other members for it. Especially when it wasn't specified who said what. :/
Lmao yeah, though the others (save Yeol) cracked jokes about it during some broadcasts. Drunk Myung was a bit of a turd back in 2012, Gyu wasn't the only one he was rude to. Thankfully he's humbled himself since lol. >_>

Nah, Sungyeol has always been 100% supportive of him even if they aren't the best of friends. He's way nicer than I would be tho, considering how many times Gyu has called him useless or been dismissive of his feelings tbh. >_>

Yup. Gyu x Yeol dynamic has always intrigued me.... they're always at each other during broadcast, probs b/c (to me) they're both more similar than anyone else on the team: painfully honest, brash, and have very sharp tongues.

Yeah, 2012. They talked about it on their most recent SSTP appearance but no one's subbed it for some reason. Apparently Yeol used to just put up with it cuz they're best friends and he knew Myung didn't mean it most of the time, but doing it on his bday was the last straw. When they fought the only other member there was Dongwoo and he said he had no idea what to do, it was that intense.

I don't understand why everyone always criticizes his solo albums sales like....did you even listen to it?He's not my fave, but his album was /good/ and lbr, if some of the other members had released a solo album, the sales would've been meh AND it probably would've been a shit listen
Actually, 60 Seconds was originally written for Infinite. They were going to comeback with either that or The Chaser in 2012 and opted for the latter after Sunggyu called dibs on it for his solo album instead.
I really dislike the Infinite version. It's not only because Sunggyu's voice is a pleasant enough to listen to by itself and the Infinite version became such an album filler, but also because I find it a bit tacky to let the whole group sing an individual member's PROMO SINGLE, even if it was supposed to be a group song at first. The other members don't even get to feature on Infinite-H's stuff :\
idk how dramatic that actually was unedited because part of infinite's love for each other is expressed with a lot of digs and teasing, something sunggyu adds to himself but his album was actually good and he deserves to hear it more often

I think the problem was that Infinite H released their album just a couple of months later and sold more which became the basis of comparison. But common sense will tell you that the sales power of 2 members' fans > 1 member so it was pretty obvious they'd sell more. And yeah some groups can't even crack 5000 sales so :\

The gifset alone is deterring me from watching this....that's not very nice to say to anyone, but especially not someone who is in your group. But I'm rational, so I'll also take into account the editing. SBS Roommate has shown me that it'd be wise to do so before jumping to conclusions.
another me is one of the best things infinite ever released for me, it's just so good. The other members are just jealous, they wish they put out something that flawless pfft. And I don't understand why they call it a failure when it sold over 80k.
man, this looks uncomfortable. but I'm pretty sure Woollim wouldn't let him say stuff that would ruin the group's image and that in the full version, Sunggyu would probably say something along the lines of "but eventually, they came to support me yadda yadda yadda~". Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if the show steered this in that direction but this isn't the first time Sunggyu has mentioned how the other members reacted to his album so the pessimist in me does think that he was genuinely bothered by it, especially considering how insecure he comes across to me about himself/the music he makes. Like I know it's Infinite's thing to take a piss on each other sometimes (and I don't mind it, it's refreshing to see) but I too hope the members made it up to him.
Even if his album didn't get the expected sales, it was pretty damn solid and I loved it! 60 seconds is one of my most played KPOP songs and is actually one of the first songs listed in my faves list! :)

Man when i saw that gifset my heart broke D: i had no idea the extent of sunggyu's true feelings in regards to the members making fun of him with that stuff, and hearing him drinking because of it made me so sad. And personally speaking i loved his album! I dont think it was complete failure like the members were exaggerating it to be. I wonder if sunggyu ever had a heart to heart with them and told him how he really felt ):
I really want to just tell Sunggyu is solo album is honestly my favorite album to listen to on repeat and that it was a success. I hate how much he still thinks about it being a failure when it obviously wasn't. Variety Shows and even his own members were too harsh in their jokes about it failing when he obviously felt very seriously about it since it was his own music and taste.
