After weeks of silence in regards to his relationship with Girl's Generation leader Taeyeon, Baekhyun of EXO apologizes to fans via instagram.

Captioned under a blank image is the following:




Translation: “Hello, this is Baekhyun. Although this is very late in reaching the fans… the reason I am leaving these words for you is because I wanted to apologize for hurting and disappointing you all. Many times I have written these words, only to erase them repetitively, feeling that I would just be making excuses, I also didn't have the courage to give voice to my heart and clear the misunderstandings.. but I am writing this because I want convey my sincere feelings. hm i think i've seen a slightly different translation yesterday. it was your standard kpop "sorry you're feeling hurt" (unlike: i'm sorry for hurting you) which is an epitome of apologizing without apologizing.

Seeing how his nights are empty compared to the hype at first and practically all nights were sold out, I'm side eyeing the timing of the message. Like, if you are going to apologize (which I don't think he should tbqh) or if you wanted to say something, why didn't you speak up when shit was hitting the fan? Taeyeon dealt with all the media and public opinion and he just kept quiet, which would have been OK but speaking up now, idk.

To me, neither one of them should have apologized. Idk how Taeyeon was effected cause I don't follow her but Baekhyun still got a lot of hate about dating(i.e. being called traitor at Inki, some of his fans selling their tickets for the musical). And is still getting hate over it(the terrible comments left on this very post on IG)

This timing doesn't seem suspect to me or like he's trying to get people to go to his musical now(especially since he deleted this post earlier). To me it seems like he finally gathered his thoughts about this mess and finally wrote it out.

eh. why do u ppl give him shits just because he decided to be smart for once by waiting for things to cool down first before apologizing? because taeyeon chose to do so at the height of the mess so he should go down with the drag too? lol this isn't some romeo & juliet shit for u to dictate them to burn in flames together. obviously it didn't went well when taeyeon apologizes so obviously their management would tell him to shut up and not worsen things further??
moreover when taeyeon apologized it was more between her and her fans; it was her own choice to be dramatic and gets rolled over by the public as her means of remorse, she can handle it because she's the senior one here. meanwhile who are we to tell baek doesn't feel bad as hell having to restraint himself down during the whole debacle because he doesn't want to compromise exo any further? also this ~doubt regarding his timing due his musical floppage doesn't make any sense to me because he's already midway in the project i doubt he would think one meager sns apology post would improve sales any further?
anyway he's deleted the post now; probably got scolded for it or whatever. he got better things to reflect on and apologize for and dating/posting love codes(whatever the reason is, i still think it's dumb for fans to get all worked up for this) isn't one of them.

Ppl hated on Taeyeon for apologising immediately saying it wasn't sincere, and when he takes his time to think out a proper apology he is hated on as well. You just can't win. Anyway this is not the first time he's speaking out since he did address the fans during the concert with pretty much the same message so I don't think the timing is really as big a deal as everyone is making it out to be. His musical's doing fine.
