Haven't listened to the mini but I reallllly like Darling! I wonder how Sistar's gonna top this. There've been so many good girl group releases this year tbh.
i really like the song, but it feels like a sistar meets secret song, not a girls day one.
and while mvs in kpop always had the male gaze, i feel like lately it is getting heavier and more intense, especially when they keep pretty much placing the camera on the ground as if it was a dude laying down to sneak a peek.
also their company has to stop with the ridiculously short costumes, they just re-did their diaper like fashion.
i'm probably still just riding on the high of watching their concert fancams but i loooove darling. it's so cute without it being overdone like their pre-don't forget me songs. the instrumentals are on point too lol ngl i can listen to the no vocal version too. kinda meh at the mv for those butt/leg shots but the rest was pretty. beginning was my probably my favorite part when yura says 'are you ready' along with the song and when sojin stands on the table haha
proud of them having their first concert! i'm slightly giddy because they covered wonsoka+2ne1 and they're donating all of what they earned for their concert to charity!
Now down to business. I am not feeling the song at all. It doesn't even have ear-worm potential. Visually, I like it. The outfits and hairstyles are cute. It was an ok mv, aside from the male gazey bits (but I get it... they have to appeal to all the different parts of their fanbase).
Darling is SO GOOD! Their clothes are super pretty, they look gorgeous and the mv is really fun. The song is fresh, simple and perfect for summer. Their other songs are good too.
