The finale decision is up to Cube and Beast has been doing one comeback on year since 2011 :( Maybe if they'll give up some of individual activities they can make it. But then again I was hoping for Yoseob's solo and maybe 2JunKwang's dramas. I'm so greedy xD

Date: 2014-07-12 07:24 pm (UTC)and you're right... their activities as a team seem short (maybe because their chemistry is so good and they work very well as a team so fans just can't get enough of it, hah), but still this year we've got a lot in comparison to last year when they only went to Weekly idol, Sketchbook, Hello counselor and Happy together. This year Showtime was a precious thing <3 but I don't think they won over 'general public' by this, it was mostly a gift for fans so they need to appeal to public as well and dramas are good choice especially since Cube merged with Sidus so I suppose they can get good casting offers
honestly I don't know why I want to see them in dramas since I hate most kdramas and drop watching them halfway but I enjoy some of them - like Jaejoong's Triangle!
i hope their dramas will be at least decent like Kikwang's 'My friend is this alive' than like his 'Twenty year's old' *pukes*

Date: 2014-07-13 07:50 am (UTC)yes, they have great team work. like, I'm not under the illusion that all six of them are BFFs (looking at you Junseung), but they really do work great together.
What I enjoy most about this comeback (other than showtime) is the way they genuinely seem to enjoy their stages. always high on energy and just jamming to their song, it's what makes it most fun for me to watch. Adding to that how they look shocked when they win a trophy and how there seldom goes a day without them thanking beauties or generally talking about how grateful they are....stay humble guys T.T
Showtime is such a gem, I'm glad they decided to do it. Love them talking and goofing around the most, simple things are the best.
I want them to star in dramas too, but I don't think it would promote beast much, more the individual members. e.g. look at Suzy, most of the public doesn't even know about Miss A or are only interested in her as a solo artist (extreme case). but hey, everything that helps them get further as a group or as an individual is fine by me ;)
Haha, I know what you mean, I've dropped soooo many before. usually I do it after 4 episodes, because otherwise I will be annoyed at myself for wasting my time without proper satisfaction (still mad about how I didn't stop with the heirs and Dr. stranger until halftime).
aww, I can't hate on 20s even though it is fanfic or 0815 shoujo manga come to life. It's what made me search for "on rainy days", which was my gatedrug to all things Beast, so it has a special place in my drama heart ^^
Did Dongwoon act before? I especially want him to have more high profile individual activities :D

Imo they always have had a great team work (because most of them are the same age - except Dongwoon and all went through hard times before debut) therefore their interactions just seem so casual and natural that some people find them boring.
I don't think Dongwoon ever did any cameos, not to mention dramas...
But the little acting parts he did in variety shows were bad... Junhyung even once said that Dongwoon and Yoseob should never go into acting xD
Honestly I want them to have some acting career as a back up when the time of Beast disbandment will come. Junhyung maaybe will be still producing music, Hyunseung said he want to produce a boyband (I can already picture their weird styling lmao) and the rest.. Idk if having a group of worshippers aka fans who can start stanning other group at any moment(and not having experience in acting or good opinions among directors) will secure their future.
Suzy for sure won't go down quickly.
