Tbh idt it will do that well physically either?? Weren't their Last Romeo sales slower than previous albums (unless I'm imagining things) coupled with the fact that fans will have to pay for their upcoming concerts.

Nah, Season 2 has sold slightly less than New Challenge so far, which was their best-selling album to date and that's after total cumulative sales for this year and last versus the month and a half S2 has actually been out. Even with the repackage I suspect it'll still move quite a few units between now and the end of the year.

Mmm they might after the repackage comes out but they'd end up pissing off collectors and completionists who want the whole discography so it's not worth it imo. They already get grief about it for OTT since it's the kpop equivalent to Suikoden II with how expensive and rare it is. That said there are significantly more copies of S2 in circulation than OTT lmao so if it did happen I don't think people would be too up in arms.

Ehhhhh I wouldn't put too much stock in what Kim Gura and netizens who agree with him say, most people don't actually understand how music shows calculate points for wins. Way too much stock is placed on real-time streaming rankings when it's the weekly ranking that counts. And Infinite ranked in the top 10 in the weekly chart for all the weeks that they won. The rest was SNS and voting, which lbr, only fandoms give a shit about because they're the only ones actually watching the music shows. The public complains for the sake of being contrary, honestly.

Oh no, I do understand that they won fair and square etc, but the thing is I actually agree with them (omg I'm so sorry;;). I also think that winning solely because of or with a huge help of fandom power is a bit . . . problematic? Idk ok problematic is kinda a strong word but idk it just doesn't sit well to me. Yup, it's annoying that people keep forgetting that digital sales aren't everything. If that was the case, 90% of idols wouldn't win not even once. I mean, digital charts are almost always dominated by soloists, OST's and non-idols in general so if we used only digital charts (especially real time charts) most of idols wouldn't stand a chance. Physical sales, broadcast and SNS points count like 50~60% in many shows and that's a LOT.

The last time I checked they were #79 and that's still way better than most of boy groups (and even some girl groups) do. I mean, most of them fall off the charts after 1~2 weeks. And their wins weren't shady at all. They did pretty well digitally the first weeks, constantly in the top 5~15 and sometimes (especially at night) even in the top 3. That coupled with the nice physical sales, SNS and broadcast points, etc...you can do the math.
And why are they bringing SHINee into this btw? Everybody did similar to Last Romeo digitally, so not bad at all, and that thing about them winning the daesang...as far I know EXO won almost all the daesangs. SHINee only won one and it wasn't even an important award so they can sit their pressed asses down. It's not all about digital sales.

The funny thing is that LOTS of netizens bitched because EXO won so many daesangs and they said that SHINee should have won them because they were more talented, hard working and make better music, so now suddenly they don't deserve it? And they didn't won a daesang anyway, but artist of the year, that's VERY well deserved imo because everything they released last year was pretty good, especially the misc albums. And are they gonna deny that they truly slayed digitally with Dream Girl too? They can shut their pressed mouths up. I can't stand that Kim Gura asshole anyway tbh.

I wonder how many new songs are gonna be on the repackage considering they recorded like 40 for Season 2. +_+ If anything hopefully the hidden track will be on it, though I can see them doing what they did with OTT/Paradise and just having an "extended" version of that with the actual song on a later mini.
