The series will revolve around Park Hoon, a South Korean who was captured with his father and grows up in North Korea. He is trained to become a genius doctor, and though Park Hoon lands a job at the best South Korean hospital after defecting, he is treated as a foreigner. To find his lost North Korean first love, Song Jae Hee, he does anything to make money.

President was as much a loon as PM Jang and then the whole Budapest bridge fall revival... I sighed, I facepalmed, I headdesked :P But at least there was a lot of pretty xD

Compared to how stirring their parting in NK was, their final scene was pretty boring. Imo they should have filmed their scene like in TWTWB, then it would have matched the bridge scene better, viewers themselves could have decided, if that was reality or just a vision/dream.
A lot of people were really upset by the ending but I was like...damn these two episodes were much better than the messy middle section. I'm not really feeling anything, I just feel sorry to the actors and Hoon/LJS deserved his happy ending. The final scene between Soo Hyun and Jae Joon was cute. I won't even question all these plot holes, I'll just ignore them.
Well, I got to see my fav actor dancing to my fav girl group song, I guess I couldn't have asked for more?
Oh and I got to see his abs, otherwise LJS probably wouldn't have worked out lol.
...now I feel like a creep after staring at this gif for too many seconds.

Date: 2014-07-11 05:51 pm (UTC)The drama went on too long playing around on whether Seung Hee is Jae Hee or not. So much hate for that card, SO MUCH HATE.
On a brighter note, Lee Jong Suk helped this drama from drowning deep into the sea. The character isn't that great, Hoon had his idiocy days, but I think a lot of us stayed thanks to Lee Jong Suk himself.

did you hear? they're changing the plot for the movie. cha jin soo is european mafia boss, song jae hee his lover with a terminal illness, park hoon falls in love with her so treats her illness and runs away with her.
like the amount of wtf i'm shouting is beyond belief. fuck you jin hyuk. ughhhhhhhh.

he deserves it for putting up with this drama. They are spending more days on filming the additional scenes, right? I hope their pay is at least good.
But the fact that Cha Jin Soo is an European mafia boss amuses me so much like did these guys even do proper research. I read that Jae Hee is going to be forced to be his gf but is actually in love with Hoon, moreover they ran away to Budapest because of Agent Cha and not because of NK, which shall remain unnamed due to China's ties with NK.

Date: 2014-07-14 01:43 am (UTC)they've done no research for the drama, period. like it was so obvious that any medical knowledge they had on the show was from the original book, and they've done no extra research on korean hospital systems and medical procedures. ugh, they were in it for money the entire time. it's fucking ridiculous when jin hyuk brags about how they were able to film this on such low budget and release shit ton of articles on how much advertisement and product placement they were able to put into the show.

I'm not a med student but read comments from some, who facepalmed so hard during a lot of scenes. Media play is always the worst form of flattery, I guess.

Besides the stupid script they should've casted less popular actors for Jae Joon and Soo Hyun, then at least from a commercial perspective, they would've been forced to focus on the main lead.
