On an interview aired through MBC’s weekly entertainment news program, “Section TV,” actor Joo Ji Hoon was asked that age-old question of having to choose between friendship and love.
Joo Ji Hoon was asked by a fan during the “Confession” open press con, “Who would you save first if Ga In, Ji Sung, and Lee Kwang Soo all fell in the water together?” Joo Ji Hoon, in an attempt to divert attention, asked his fellow actor Ji Sung what would he do if his wife and actress Lee Bo Young, Joo Ji Hoon, and Lee Kwang Soo fell in the water. Ji Sung, ignoring his friend’s subtle plea for help, pretended that he couldn’t hear the question.
Joo Ji Hoon finally had to answer the question. “I would save the weakest person first.” The MC at the press con added, “Ga In would be the weakest person there, so Ga In,” creating a hilariously awkward situation for Joo Ji Hoon. The question from the fan was complete bait for Joo Ji Hoon to talk his about his recently revealed girlfriend, singer Ga In of Brown Eyed Girls.
In a separate interview from the press conference, Joo Ji Hoon was asked to give his first impression of Lee Kwang Soo. Joo Ji Hoon replied, “I thought he was stupid.” Lee Kwang Soo, his feathers’ ruffled retorted with a diss of his own for Joo Ji Hoon. “He has a dowdy side to him even though he has that cosmopolitan image and started off as an actor.”
Joo Ji Hoon and Lee Kwang Soo continued to bicker throughout the interview, showing how comfortable and friendly they were with each other. When Lee Kwang Soo said he would like to become a husband like Ji Sung, Joo Ji Hoon jabbed, “You’re face won’t allow it.”
Joo Ji Hoon, Lee Kwang Soo, and Ji Sung star in the movie “Confession” (aka “Good Friends”) together. “Confession” is a neo-noir movie in which three best friends who unwillingly become embroiled in a homicide. The movie will be released on July 10.
