SBS to make a documentary about 2NE1

A documentary about 2NE1’s success is set to be aired by SBS on Sepember 6th, 2009. The documentary uncovers the secrets of what goes into making a hit song. This documentary will cover past hit songs by artists such as Kim Gun Mo, Lee Moon Sae, Shin Seung Hun and of course now 2NE1.

An SBS official quoted that:

“We’ve completed filming and the production is now in editing. We’re trying to discover what, if any patterns exist in hit songs, therefore the documentary will analyze previous hit songs and artists as well as the present.”

The production crew of the documentary quoted:

“YG Entertainment’s 2NE1 is the hottest group at the moment. We have interviewed CEO Yang Hyun Suk, Producers Teddy (1Tym) and G-Dragon (Big Bang), to try to discover the secrets of how a hit song is created.”

The premise is interesting but I can tell the analysing will be something like "The song's popularity can be attributed to the funky fresh image and use of fluro leggings. A sure hit for summer!".

I already see 2NE1 TV as a type of documentary.

Ok, I love these girls, but no offense...I don't think they have a "documentary-worthy" story. It's pretty obvious that while of course they work very hard, they've been pampered from the start. Yang Hyunsuk practically forgot about Se7en's existence to focus on them; he even shoved Big Bang out of the country. It's great that they're successful from the start, but I highly doubt that without the "female Big Bang name", people would've paid them as much attention.

I think Big Bang's story was more of a "rise to success" story, since they actually were a little low on the radar for a bit before hitting mega stardom with "Lies" in 2007. I feel like 2NE1 has had everything fall into place for them, even though they're very talented and do deserve it. I just wouldn't want to be interested in watching a "how to be a success story" about a group that has known nothing BUT success, and not the trials and tribulations it took to get there.

(I'd probably be more interested in a "Bom's Story" alone episode. She seems to have had the hardest path to success out of all of them)

tbh few months ago I was very happy to see 2en1 everywhere, for me it was a big hit of YG but now.. I feel like there is too much of 2ne1.. I can't even watch BB TV because there is just too much 2ne1..
I love them but without BB thy wouldn't be so popular..
I would like to focus more on BB, se7en and I'm praying to see 1tym again T_T
