Upcoming tvN drama “Incomplete Life” has released more detail about its cast.
On July 1, tvN announced, “Lee Sung Min has been confirmed for the character of Section Chief Oh, while Im Si Wan is almost confirmed for the title role of Jang Geu Rae. Kang So Ra and Kang Ha Neul are both in talks.”
“Incomplete Life” is based on the mega-hit webtoon of the same title, penned by cartoonist Yoon Tae Ho. It tells the story of Jang Geu Rae, who is thrown into the harsh reality after failing to become a pro-player of Go (a traditional board game of Chinese origin). The comic tells the story of Jang Geu Rae as he becomes an intern at a trade corporation. It was a huge hit during its serialization in Korea for its candid depiction of corporate life.
Im Si Wan has previously played Jang Geu Rae in the 10-minute mobile drama of “Incomplete Life”, which makes his casting for the television drama that much more exciting.
“Incomplete Life” is scheduled for an October premier. It will be produced by Producer Kim Won Seok who is responsible for “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” and “Monstar“.

Date: 2014-07-03 09:53 pm (UTC)cable dramas only lack on viewership - you have to pay to watch them so basically the raitings are all in single digits. the recent viewership record for cable drama (on korean channel) is 11.9% average, 14.3% peak. but that super high and hard to achieve. usually if a cable drama gets a 5% raiting, it's equal to public broadcast 20%. cast and crew always promises stuff if that happens ^^
a lot of recent hit dramas were aired on tvn, such a reply 1997 or reply 1994. tbh there aren't that many dramas from them that sucked. i watched almost all that came after 2011 and majority was pretty much watchable. the really stepped up their game in 2013 with nine, that drama would get 30% viewership if only it was a public broadcast.
sorry for the essay, i'm just really interested in this whole television thing as a film school student ^^ all this viewership and stuff is pretty cool to understand :)
