VIXX Debut in Japan Under Victor Entertainment!

I love Victor Music and their artists so seeing VIXX, my favorite boy group, under their label makes for a happy day! The guys will be making their Japanese debut on July 2nd with their Japanese album DARKEST ANGELS, and they’ve released a video message through Victor Ent’s YouTube channel to their fans about it. There’s no English subs as this is meant for their Japanese audience, but international fans can still enjoy the excitement that comes with VIXX’s global expansion!

Is anyone going to get their Japanese CD Dark Angel? And does anyone know who is popular among the Japanese fans...color me curious. And congrats to them for their album Dark Angel reaching the number 7 spot on oricon album chart yay!

SMH at this seemingly no effort japanese debut though. Apparently all songs are still in korean. Seems like it's just a best-of-the-first-2-years-of-vixx's-career albun.

The promos so far seems on point though. Idk how it is normally for groups at vixx' level making Japanese debuts since ive never followed any japan promos before but victor seems to be doing alright. The cafe and all those gimmicks and whatever else they're doing.

Their cafe gimmick seemed to be doing well! I was surprised at the number of girls drinking their lemonade and taking pics w/the cardboard cutouts of them. (though they're doing this weird thing where they only have one cardboard member at a time to take pics with and it changes everyday.) it seems like there were quite a few people who were taking pics of their pictures and mv and stuff. They also have a small display by Infinite's large ass Last Romeo space, which I think is pretty smart. Hopefully this means they'll skip straight to the original songs :D I'd love them if they did that.

Actually, Oricon uses the version with the first catalog number (version A) as the title for the releases in the chart (before it used to be the one the company provided but they changed it with the chart revamp a while ago, my bad for the unedited post: for information: id for Leo's version is number VUZJ4 and it's listed as fir first version, version 'A', with other boys' versions from 5 to 9 and versions B to F); all versions are counted for the chart ranking as one (regardless if the packaging is different, i.e. if they have different members' faces on it, or even if it has different B-sides/bonus tracks), which is the point for member-different releases: to have fans buy multiple copies for their favourite members or to collect them all :)
Like Kisumai, who topped the daily chart but also have three (I think) editions of the album out; the version in the chart link is the First Press version A, while also first press B and the regular edition are counted in the sales figure.

They're in the same company as Jero and that trips me out. lol

The album is basically recycled songs and photos, since I have everything of theirs already it's a pass for me, but a nice little package for the J-fans to get a lot at once.

They are doing a high-touch event in Kobe and Tokyo on the 5th and 6th, and I think that's all until the Japan leg of their tour in August...

Nope. Someone on tumblr for the album and said that the items inside were pretty but that the songs were all in Korean and nothing new.

From what I saw at TR yesterday and today, Hongbin and Leo seem to be the most popular. Their individual CDs were sold out almost when I went to pick up Last Romeo. They're also having a promotion with TR's cafe you can buy a Vixx themed drink (lemonade >>> coffee) and you get a coaster :D
I thought about buying the cd but it was like $35 and nothing new.

So Guka and VIXX are under different Japanese ent companies, not unusual but I was curious and had to look it up.

So VIXX are lable mates with D, Daigo Stardust (didn't know he still existed as solo!!!), Kaela Kimura, Leah Dizon, Kokia and Jero? Highly amusing that mix of genres. (and Guka is with Gackt and Vidoll, I'm laughing tears)

I hope Japanese promo goes well for them.
As much as it confuses me that they re-released their Korean songs in a Japanese packaging, I am actually glad they didn't write Japanese lyrics for their Korean language intended songs like so many Korean artists before did. (I hope you guys understand what I mean by that) They can later on release completly new Japanese songs.

I think that with this album they are trying to test how well VIXX could do in the future, so in the meantime, get that $$$ VIXX !
As far as I've seen, they are doing pretty well too :)
I just hope that in the future they aren't going to be one of those groups that are becoming more busy in Japan than in SK (like 2PM for example, they release good music there though)
