I do have a question for fans, is Mark like really shy or is there a language barrier sometimes? He always appears so quiet and a bit disengaged on their show, which surprises me because I think he has the most stage presence-, or well is up there in that regard.
he's a pretty quiet kind of guy, this is especially made worse when he's sitting right next to jackson lol. he's had his moments of being more bold on shows, but i guess he'll never naturally default to being outgoing. plus he's been sick recently so maybe he's still working that off

Mark is great onstage and gives energetic performances even if he is sick (like he's been for all A promotions), but is shy by nature when he is with strangers. Amber (of fx) and Jackson have spilled the beans on him being a lot more outgoing though when he is with people he knows. And he has his moments, gives some really great quips at times and is witty. JB said in their Japanese press conference that Mark tends to be shy when speaking up because he doesn't want to make mistakes when speaking, but that he actually is quite good at Korean (and knows the most Japanese after Jr. but is also shy to speak for same reason).
Compared to their debut, he's actually speaks up a lot more now ;) I'm so glad he is coming out from his shell. Can't wait to see what he will be like after another six months (Japan lives, here I come~~~~~)
omg, I only meant to check them out as well and I am hooked now. ;-; Like I seriously spent my whole night watching their IGOT7 shows and some radio shows, and it feels like I've been through everything now, I wish they made more variety show appearances since all I see is Weekly Idol. I left kpop 3 years ago and the last time I was this invested in a group was during 2PM's glory days.
Ohh I did not know Mark was sick,see, this explains a lot. And he does seem shy, I've only seen him go really out there when others engage him. Not that I expect him to be as wild as Jackson (like who can compete with that? lol)

I feel you. They're dangerous~ My thoughts exactly, my last big kpop venture (or maybe it's kpop/cpop..?) was SJ(-M) when Geng was with them. It's been forever ^___^ Variety will come in due time, they're only 6 months old as a group. I think there will be more of their youtube show soon though. Or I hope. And the upcoming Japan dvd looks amazing.
I don't think he'll ever be naturally talkative like Jackson (it's just not him and that's alright), but for example in yesterday's radio show he actually answered questions that weren't even directed at him and was really playful and he looked (https://twitter.com/makrjuseyo/status/484732416183898113) and sounded (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BMs6leERzUM) (@1:50) so good I almost can't process it ;p, his rap in forever young is lovely because he has got the voice and the flow right down. unf, look at me fangirl :D
