Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung in Talks to Star as Lead Role in New Drama

Sooyoung of Girls’ Generation is positively looking over an offer as the lead female in the upcoming MBC Wednesday—Thursday drama called “My Spring Day.”

On June 30, a representative of SM Entertainment revealed to OSEN, “After receiving the drama casting offer, [she] is currently positively considering it.”

“My Spring Day” is a drama that tells the story of a terminally ill woman who goes through an organ transplant to receive a new heart. It has been said that Sooyoung was offered the role of Lee Bom, the woman who gets the chance to live a brand new life after the heart transplant. This drama will be her return to the small screen in about one year, since starring in tvN’s “Dating Agency: Cyrano.”

Actor Kam Woo Sung is considering the lead male role opposite Sooyoung’s heroine. If both are cast, there would be a 20-year age difference between the two leads.

“My Spring Day” is scheduled to begin airing in September, following the end of “Fated to Love You,” which will be broadcasting its first episode on July 2.

I've loved dating agency cyrano! it was awesome and she was amazing! I need more! I would love if she played the bad girl, being an actual bitch and never tried to hide it but instead of being attacked by karma ended up in a paradisiac beach with the lead dude, got everything she wanted aand the good girl would just keep on insulting her.

Ugh, these netizens need to stfu about her looks and find something else to focus on. I honestly think she looks gorgeous. Smh at these people and their ridiculous beauty standards. If they want to criticize anything then they should criticize her acting but even that would be ridiculous because she's a pretty good actress and definitely one of the better female idol actresses out there on top of that. On a side note, I've been dying to see her in another drama because I adored Cyrano, it was both cute and hilarious :) Though I'm not sure why they keep pairing her up with these older guys o.O Meh, nonetheless...Get them acting roles unnie! \o/ I wanna see her in a comedy next or trying a different kind of role, something edgy or whatever.
