I think that's the same alley from Koyote's Hollywood. The EYK theory of a warehouse full of kpop sets that eveyone but YG uses gets more plausible all the time.

This is actually really good, I'm anticipating the live performances (and the tour).
Eli is writing his own raps these days and it really made a difference when they promoted Breakout.

Jun is so cute I wan to squish him but I'm actually glad he doesn't have many lines because everyone else can pronounce Japanese quite well in their songs so it's better to wait a little with the :)
I'm hoping he will do well during the crazy tour schedule U-KISS have ahead of them. Anticipating him being scared of Eli and Soohyun in their J-promotions :D

..I'm still not over Eli calling Zhoumi a girl though...

I could also do without Kevin singing this much of the song, because after he threw the rest of his group and his agency under the bus about QP-concept... nonono.

Eli called Zhoumi a girl? Can I know why?

In their C-radio interview he said that he's glad to be there with big sisters Jia, Fei and Zhoumi.
He called him 姐姐 (jiejie), similar to "noona" in Korean or "neesan" in Japanese ;)

haha thanks!

BTW, I'm meaning to ask how is their reputation at Japan rn? Is it still struggling or they have more fans compared to last year/2 years? I know k-pop wave have died there but if you can provide me anything that show they are kind-of doing well, it will be great.

Tonight, I'm just watching some of their old MVs and it remind me how great their title songs (esp the Japanese releases) and how awesome and strong their choreographies (take Alone/Standing Still as example) and remembered how underrated they are at Korea and I got sad all over again. :((

They have their own fanbase that is different from other kpop groups. Like FTISLAND, U-KISS actually doesn't have the support from what I like to call "hallyu crowd" (foreign support, Japanese hallyu fans etc) but their fanbase is actually largely Japanese. Which is why even if kpop gets generally flat or negative response in general and is a niche genre nowadays, they are alright :)
I'm not going to comment on the mess that is FTISLAND and their management or the recent drama but I just wanted to bring them up in comparison because neither of them are favoured by the hallyu crowd.

U-KISS are doing relatively well, their position is stable (though their last album was terrible and the critics picked up on that too...) and if you have seen the crazy tour schedule that I mentioned (link: http://u-kiss.jp/live/tour.php?id=1000114 ), they have basically two shows a day in relatively big venues all around the country and a lot of the shows are sold out, and have been for quite a while. For the ones listed to not being 'sold out' there are some tickets available, but not many. Impressive considering most of the shows are on weekdays and the early ones begin at 15:00, which means people are at work or school at that time.

They could have easily held a bigger scale hall tour, but they wanted (and they really emphasized this during BO-promotions a lot) to meet the fans all around the country and be closer to the fans with intimate stages. The venues they're performing at are each fitted to around 2000 people's audiences; some bigger, some smaller but with quick look I think ~2000 is accurate medium.
(in comparison, if they have 35 shows and almost 2000 people attending each, they would obviously have had no problems filling some bigger halls but I think this is a good decision, even if it will be really tiring for the boys)

No need to be sad; actually U-KISS' lives have steadily gotten good reviews in J-media, they're considered to be good live and the reviews encourage people to attend lives. Not using translators (not even in interviews) and making jokes and mc-ing in Japanese is also a plus :)
I've seen them perform a few times and I agree; they're really stable live, don't lipsync/use heavy backtapes, and they can perform.

They're not IT, by any means, but they're doing alright :) I think this tour and the special appearances in some summer festivals will bring them more attention.
Their fans are really nice too, I'm more of a casual listener and live-goer but everyone is always really friendly no matter the event.

I don't know if my answer was any help, hopefully it was ^____^

OMG thank you soooooooo much for your answers. You have no idea how happy I am to be reading your long reply. ^_____^

I' so glad that they're doing okay. I know they're really good live so its nice when the Japanese media are acknowledging that too so hopefully their audiences will grow bigger each day and perhaps they can perform at Tokyo Dome one day.

And again, thank you so much for your lovely answers! And now my exam has finished, I think I'm going to watch the crime show posts that you have been making for the past months -- it looks really interesting and since I'm a big fan of Kindaichi in general, I thought its gonna be a lot of fun to guest who is the criminal. :D

Last, you deserved a hug like this. ♥

Their Japanese releases have been so stellar that some singles would have made a good, proper Korean comeback. This one included either. It's catchy and just look at that choreo man.... if only this single is translated into Korean or something, it would have been great!

Whatever it is, I sarang you very much UKisseu.

I agreed with their Japanese releases. It were constantly great and they choose their title songs really wisely. Just watched again some of their old MVs tonight and they remind me how great they are as a team. :)

Kiseop have made me pay attention to him esp starting 'One of Us'. His part there is my fave in the song and his parts keep getting longer right after that and I'm happy. I like it when all members got the chance to shine -- kind of really hate the 'face of the group' concept tbh that Korea likes to do..
