SM thinks they're slick....all of a sudden the Chinese members have something to do? Has it always been this way? Now they can confidently say in court that we give our members movie deals and don't turn them down?

I see it as both. exo m is a group in and of itself as opposed to sjm which was always just a subgroup. I see sm thinking they've poured too much money into this group and this dual promotions concept for them to give up. That and they really want a hold in china to get all that yuan. It also counteracts the we're neglecting the chinese members bc look at them doing xyz!!! But I guess we'll never know whether all these activities would've happened pre lawsuit, other than luhans movie. Even zly is getting an album so they can wring her out one last time before she leaves
SM clearly prioritized establishing EXO as a group before its individual members, and last year they focused on Korean OT12 promotions. What time was there for any Chinese members to fly over to China to film a movie, exactly? As opposed to now, when they're back to split K/M promotions. I don't see why people often speak as though K members were given loads of solo activities while M members sat at home twiddling their thumbs, given that most of K's individual activities only began picking up recently as well.
It's more than who has individual promotions though. Exo m was clearly more popular in china and was on the brink of almost breaking into the Chinese market but sm pulled them back and shoved them in Korea. Sm said they wanted to promote exo m in china from the beginning but they've half assed it after MAMA. Luhan and kris especially could have make it so much bigger with all the opportunities in china but sm denied all those. Promoting as a group in Korea obviously helped the Korean members popularity the most while china line is barely recognized

The obvious marginalization of M over the last year with minimal activities as MOT6 and hardly any OT12 appearances in China while still expecting the cfans money was terrible. M had no solo CFs...only with K as OT12 IN KOREA while K got promotions and continued solo activity. M finally got to do ONE solo CF this year in China for a clothing app.
For the few solo activities M got they were all IN KOREA and mostly sports related...which none of K can do anyway and none of it was in China where they are actually supposed to focus
Luhan was allowed ONE role in a Korean controlled remake. Then Kris sued to leave and SM realized that perhaps they won't accept the same treatment they gave Han Geng and now Yixing is hosting and Tao is acting in ZLY's MV.
Honestly the lack of activities in China for the last year was ridiculous...their management strategy is terrible. It's like they forget TVXQ got big in Japan because they STAYED there and built themselves up. The members of SJM had tv shows and special promotions while M had none of that and Xiumin and Chen can still barely speak Mandarin after two years.
