Onew to Not Attend SHINee Concert in Jakarta

SHINee′s Onew will not be attending the concert in Indonesia.

On June 20, SM Entertainment announced through its official page, "We want to thank you for showing your interest and love towards SHINee′s third exclusive concert as we make some announcements about the upcoming concert."

"Onew will not be attending the SHINee World III in Jakarta that is scheduled to take place in Jarkarta′s MEIS on June 22," stated SM Entertainment. "After receiving surgery for a vocal cord polyp removal and vocal fold mucosa reconstruction, Onew has been taking a break, but with his current condition, we decided he would not attend the Jakarta concert as he would not be able to perform normally."

"The decision was made so that Onew can meet with you fans healthier later on, so we ask for your understanding. Thank you always for the interest and support towards SHINee. Thank you."

On June 3, Onew received an operation for vocal cord polyp removal and vocal fold mucosa reconstruction. He has since been resting with treatment.

Yup, and in any case, it's not his fault, but SM's for wanting to ~make him happen~. And can people just admit that he's improved to the point of being a really good vocalist now? You can like or dislike his tone but his technique is objectively good. But ofc if you say this, you're an annoying Taemin stan and not an *~objective fan~* like them, etc etc

ikr, don't hate Taemin for busting his ass in order to improve, cause it wasn't easy. When he first covered for Jjong in Lucifer his voice was cracking everywhere but he pushed through it. He put himself out there as a vocalist though he obviously struggled, but year by year he improved by leaps and bounds, and Onew and Jonghyun supported him all the way. I just rme at all the nastiness, cause it wasn't like SM showered him with all these singing parts just because, bb put legit sweat and tears into it and he deserves it.

/rant cause this is a sensitive topic for me as a SHINee/Taemin fan lol

He started to look really thin since the accident, but I agree, they're all horribly skinny now, especially compared with how hot and healthy they looked in Dream Girl era. I mean, I don't mind skinny as long they're healthy and toned and not just a pile of bones but some of them are straight out looking Hyunseung sick lately :|

I am on my way there tbh and i'm so upset that many fans try to sell their tix just bcz of this.i know that onew is their biases and maybe 90% reason they attend it.but can they at least appreciate the other members.is it hard to just attend and enjoy it.you listen to SHINee songs which are sung by ALL members not just one and you can still enjoy them.so why not this? :/

I don't know if it happens with other fandoms but I've noticed that many "shawols" are actually only Onew fans. I'm not saying you should like all the members but if you only like one of them and don't care about the others or even the music, then that's not a shawol. There's especially lots of those of tumblr and some of them basically hate the other members. Not nice tbh.

I wouldn't worry about it, there are more people who are fans of SHINee the group than people who are just Onew fans. It sucks that some people are pulling out but alteast the stadium will still be filled with people who support the boys and are there to enjoy their music :D
