Gong Hyo Jin Injured in Car Accident

After getting involved in a car crash, Kong Hyo Jin is receiving hospital treatment on June 19.

According to Kong Hyo Jin′s agency, Soop, on June 19, Kong Hyo Jin was involved in a car accident at the Shingal intersection on the Youngdong freeway at around 1AM (KST). She was transferred to the hosptal to receive treatment.

Kong Hyo Jin was on her way back to Seoul after filming the SBS drama It′s Okay, It′s Love in Yongin. The vehicle that Kong Hyo Jin was riding collided with a freight car and hit another freight car later on.

The people inside the car were confirmed to be Kong Hyo Jin, her manager, her stylist, and her makeup artist. Her agency staff stated, "We′ve only been able to confirm that Kong Hyo Jin received an fracture on her left arm for now. She′s currently being examined. We′re waiting for more details."

Regarding her schedules afterwards, the staff replied, "It′s Okay, It′s Love began filming a month ago, so there′s some leeway. We will be changing her schedule as we find out what her injuries are."

Lee Jin Wook Relieved to Hear Kong Hyo Jin Wasn′t Severely Injured


Hearing about his girlfriend′s accident, Lee Jin Wook revealed that he became quite frightened.

On June 19, Lee Jin Wook′s agency told Newsen, "Lee Jin Wook became very shocked when he heard about Kong Hyo Jin′s car accident. He had to calm himself down."

"Since it was a freeway accident, he thought it was a huge car accident, but when he heard that there were no big injuries, he was finally able to catch a breath."

Earlier in the day, Kong Hyo Jin′s agency told Newsen, "Kong Hyo Jin′s left arm was fractured from the accident. She′s waiting for her medical results, along with the results of the other staff in the car as well. We′re not sure when the results will come out."

"The reports say that there were only slight injuries, but it′s actually not that minor. Along with a fracture on the left arm, she′s also received an abrasion on her face. Regarding when she′ll return to her schedules, we′ll have to see after receiving her examination results."

At around 1:10 AM (KST) on June 19, Kong Hyo Jin was heading back to Seoul from Yong In after filming SBS′ It′s Okay, It′s Love, when her vehicle collided with two large trucks. She fractured her left arm. She and her manager, makeup artist, and stylist were transferred to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, Kong Hyo Jin is currently fimling in It′s Okay, It′s Love as Ji Hye Soo. The drama will begin in July.

I was watching a video with someone who lives there (months back) and I remember him saying that nobody can drive so I could just imagine. I mean, it was jokingly--like someone picking on a family member for a little thing like eating sloppily, so probably just really different from say the US or the UK? I just wonder if the road laws are strict or not. All those u-turns in dramas and no one gets honked down by cops?? I would think there would be at least one scene like that--it makes for more drama, afterall--but never happens.

me too, I don't want to judge too fast because all I see is from tv shows but if it's true, they have a lot of problems. during WGM, Seohyun passed her driving licence. the written exam was like here but for the driving examination, it wasn't on a real road. Moreover, if safety belt was obligatory at the back of the car too, I'm sure a lot of injuries would be avoided.

The drivers test is super easy to pass here, they even made fun of it on SNL Korea lmao I fear for my life everytime I cross at a pedestrian crossing. tbh in my experience in Korea driving laws are more like "guidelines". Have nearly gotten hit several times by motorcycles while walking on the sidewalk, even.

It's a Noh Hee Kyung drama, and she and her PD are known for pre-producing, so I don't think there will be a big rush for her to get back. She could chill and probably get pampered by her hot boyfriend for a couple of days.
