I really liked this cover and I honestly think that OnAirStardom is one of the best things to happen to Topp Dogg so far. The Happy video was so cute and I know attracted a lot of attention from people that I follow on twitter, so hopefully following it with this, which is a great showcase of their talent, will draw in more fans!
Regarding the video itself, can I just say: ahhhhhh! Ahhhh! Ahhhhhhhhh!
Sehyuk and Hojoon were lovely here - both of them have great voices but I never seem to remember how much I like their singing until I see it in videos like this. Sangdo was amazing as always, and Hyunho's tone always sticks out amongst the rest of vocal line. I'm not going to lie, I was waiting the most for Dongsung and was happy to hear him sing at the end. The line distribution was fairly even in this too. I like that Topp Dogg do videos/songs to showcase their vocal line but I hope that sometime soon they do something similar for the dance and rap lines! (coughdancevideoscough)
(also, visually speaking, I preferred the black backdrop of this video over the one they used in Some. and Dongsung just looked really good and so did Sangdo and I'm ever so slightly readjusting my bias list after watching this a few times)
Lmao Jiwon garnered the most interest amongst non-fans so I hope the attention isn't short-lived and that more people will check Topp Dogg's stuff out.
It's time rap line released another track together tbh. It's been over a year since their last one and I'm dying to see how much they've improved. A Taeyang solo track or mixtape in the near future wouldn't hurt either since Hyosang's releasing one. And I would LOVE dance line videos.

Haha, yeah, I did see that. I'm interested to see what actually happens with Topp Dogg Global because the new members seem to have quite a bit of background already (i.e. being in previous groups but not debuting). I know what you mean though - I hope that it's not temporary because Topp Dogg really do need more recognition!

Yeah, that's true. Aside their debut and maybe Arario the rest was pretty meh. But it's a pity they don't give them better music because they're super talented.
Even if you did honestly it's a no. Not taking away anything from these kids, and you're well within your right to prefer this version, but no one can outdo Taeyang when it comes to his songs.
I said she's well within her right to prefer this version, that's her choice and taste, that doesn't mean this version is better than Taeyang's or that they do it better just because she prefers it.
With the covers we seen, such as akmu, they do sound better. Like I think the right word would be that they sound stabler? But I like the way Taeyang vocally emotes and never sings it one way, especially for the type of song it is. I always feel more inclined to listen.

anyways, topp dogg did a great job but the backing track is kinda too overwhelming to me, i like the simplicity of original version, it brings out the emotion
haha the notes you are getting is crazy -- its around 700++ now. And the funny thing is, bb Sungjae didnt even do a good job singing that one line. XD~~
YES to your last sentence, Topp Dogg have some really outstanding vocalists but the backing piano is out of time and it's distracting. Plus why add the filler sequencer beat, it just seems amateur.
i've sort of been a sideline fan because i usually like most of their songs but just can't get on board with the ones they end up promoting (except arario). they are really talented but seem sort of unfocused onstage.. like their choreo is always really.. hmm (organized chaos tbh?).
i think they could really take off if they promoted songs more vocally focused as opposed to rap/rap singing - especially among international fans. i think a lot of people see a group with 13 members (+ more sometimes) and don't even want to bother because there's so many people and the songs they promote are so niche not many people bother w/ the minis either (which all have gems on them). they have a lot of talented vocalists that usually go over looked b/c the rappers / dancers are the group's representatives on shows.
or maybe i'm not making any point and am just sad people write them off so easily i d k. their "some' cover is what actually got my attention to be more than just a casual listener / someone who only downloads title tracks, and it was soooo worth it, just wish more people felt the same. they'll get there, i think.
i know next to nothing about them but i really liked seogoong and gohn's voices here! but watching the video kinda killed it for me because it seemed so obviously lipsynced? more so than mvs and stuff because their mouths didn't really seem to be moving quite in time with the audio :[
i dont even know what the original sounds like but this is nice dang hojoon is fantastic. i havent heard much of him before but he has a beautiful voice ♥
I don't know what everyone else is hearing but only like 2 of these singers were any good. The others kind of sucked. AKMU's cover stomps all over this and can't believe ppl are saying the this is better than the original.
