MBLAQ’s concert in Peru had been cancelled on the day of the concert for unclear reasons, thus MBLAQ have stepped up to notify their fans of the truth.

On the 16th of June, MBLAQ’s agency, J.Tune Camp, announced that they had been preparing for concerts in Mexico, Chile and Peru ever since 2 months ago, in which they had successfully finished their concerts in Mexico and Chile.

However on the the 13th of June, the day of the Peru concert, the agency was notified that the show had been cancelled, in which they had never received a message or any news of any problems regarding the concert prior to the concert date.

Upon looking for answers, J. Tune Camp soon found out that the Peru local concert representative hadn’t submitted a performance permit to the borough office at least 10 days before the concert date, and instead had submitted it 3 or 4 days before, thus a permit for the concert had not been warranted, resulting in the cancellation of their show.

Due to the fact that the show could not be held, J.Tune Camp felt the need to provide fans who waited for the show with an opportunity to at least talk to the members of MBLAQ, however as fans weren’t even allowed in to the concert location, this was also rendered impossible.

Since MBLAQ and staff had to leave for South Korea shortly after the concert date, representatives of the local concert organization and J.Tune Camp could not finalize their talks. As of now, they are currently discussing the issue at hand and will decide the follow-up measures after a thorough talk.

In anger and frustration, MBLAQ member G.O tweeted, “There was nothing we could do. I am so angry. I can’t express how angry I am through any words. Who would understand all the things that happened here. How did we even come here to perform a concert when things weren’t thoroughly prepared for. With what in mind. For what purpose? This is the most shameful thing that has happened to me as an artist and it’s pathetic.”

Upon the cancellation of the concert, the local promoters of the Peru concert uploaded an apology on their official Facebook page, in which they apologized for the sudden cancellation, explained the reason for the cancellation as being the late submission of the performance permit, and promised to bring MBLAQ back to Peru.

However G.O further tweeted, “I would like to write a few words upon reading the apology notes from the promoter. There was not one single time where we discussed a press conference and we were never alerted with another final date for the concert. We stated that we had to do the concert no matter what, but a permit could not be given to us, even by Sunday. We apologize to all the fans who came to watch the Peru concert.

It's really terrible this happened. I'm only glad this was the venue's fault rather than J.Tune being a dick. I feel horrible for mblaq and their fans though. It must feel really sh***y to not be able to see their fans at all.

This also happened in their Philippines concert. Actually what happned in their pH concert was worst. They kept telling us that the concert is just postponed for few hours and when the time (the promised Time) they said it was cancelled. Dude, they made us wait outside the venue for more than 10 hours and it was really hot at that time cause its summer. The worst part is there was no explanation of what happened. Until now. It's been a year already.

I can relate A+ fans. This happened to me twice, once for a UKiss fanmeeting/mini concert that I only found out was cancelled once I got to the venue and second for Hyesung's concert. I mean kinda my fault I didn't check up on the websites for either since the cancellations were announced a week in advance, but I was still bummed out as all hell.

Justice for MBLAQ tbh. They need to jump ship to a company that will manage them better.

yeah, it's a complete production mess
fanmeeting in chile was poorly produced too
at the beginnig i was amazed by all the fans
working and helping everywhere in the show
but learning about this
i realise maybe they were just trying to make it work
for real!
those fans were on backstage
helping to move chairs and tables

it's so sad! that's the problem with kpop overseas, the representatives are not professional organizers.

Since it happened before, I get the impression that not enough fans bought tickets to warrant the venue to open up or make it priority. I know contractual obligations outside of the US and Western Europe are all hand-shakes anyway, so maybe ultimately, there was no losing party except the fans.

that's terrible, i feel so lucky that all the kpop concerts i've been to in the west have been relatively well-organised and nothing huge went wrong, because i've heard a LOT of horror stories :c i really like what G.O said, although i feel awful for him and everyone else who was screwed over.
