Yeo Jin Goo Says He Has Yet to Experience First Love

Yeo Jin Goo, who turned 18 years old this year and entered his junior year of high school, confessed that he has no dating experience.

Debuting through movie Sad Movie in 2005, Yeo Jin Goo shared his thoughts about his nine-year acting career, his school and dating life during a recent interview with Newsen.

Praised for his ‘monstrous acting ability,’ Yeo Jin Goo has been keeping himself busy filming a drama and a movie. He has especially been spending most of his days in Jeolla province to film movie Shoot My Heart, which led to absences from school. Wouldn’t Yeo Jin Goo, who is only 18 years old, envy others his age who spend time studying and hanging out at school?

Yeo Jin Goo said, “I can’t go to school when I’m working on a project. But I like going to school a lot. Whenever I’m not working on a project, I go to school. But I can’t say that I envy my school friends, because I’m also doing something I like. I do want to make more memories, however, by going to workshops or school more often.”

It has already been almost ten years since he debuted. How does he feel about his acting career so far?

“I think this is just the beginning. I’ve worked on many projects, but it was only in 2010, when I was filming Giant, that I actually discussed my character with the director. Before that I only did what I was told to do, but during filming, Giant I talked to the director a lot and felt real joy in acting. Acting is still fun and I’m thankful to my parents and the affiliates who’ve helped me to do what I enjoy and like.”

Yeo Jin Goo seems mature but he is only 18 years old. He is at an age where he is interested in the opposite gender and dating.

He said, “I wonder what it feels like to date but I’ve never had a girlfriend. Of course, I’ve liked someone before, but when I think of first love, it involves a great emotion. I think of it as something big and beautiful and the feeling that makes you think of flower petals falling in the air when you close your eyes. I’ve never had that experience yet.”

About his ideal type, Yeo Jin Goo said, “I tend to be shy and brusque so I like someone who smiles a lot and has aegyo.”

Yeo Jin Goo recently acted in tvN’s Potato Star 2013QR3, which ended on May 15, and is currently filming Shoot My Heart.

Mine was rather tame. He was this guy in my class and I was in love with him since Middle School and High School. Don't know what happened to him now though, haven't seen him since graduation. I should stalk him on Facebook one of these days.

i stalk on facebook almost all of my previous major crushes. they are all so ugly now, idk what happend. either my taste has changed or they just deteriorated naturally. esp that super perfect scout i knew from scouts camps. he was so dreamy when we were 12, now he looks like a local drunkard. wft. another one turned into a gorilla, plays in band and is living in with a hot tattoo artist.
i sorta felt in love in high school. there was this guy whom half of girls fancied. i never had the chance with him, he got himself a gf shortly after i became interested. they broke up few months ago tho, funny, they lasted two years. anyway, he was an football player, a pretty good one. he once played for my city's juniors and planned to join a sports high school in order to turn pro. his mom stopped him as she wanted him to get proper education, so he studied hard to join my super posh and elite high school instead.
he kinda look like benedict cumberbatch, but in a handsome way... he was a dick tho, there was nothing really great about his personality. i used to have english with him and there was literally nothing positive about him to notice, except for looks (dem tights!). idk what i saw in him and i feel sorta ashamed when i think about it now. at least this whole one-sided love triggered me to took up poetry as hobby and i'm glad i did :) my first poems were super emo and it's embarassing to read them now, but i got better. i forgot about him once i got into trouble that almost got me expelled, i had to study real hard to graduate.
i swore off falling in love after i started uni, i'm not really looking for a boyfriend and i'm okay with being alone. my family almost disowned me when i came out as asexual, they want me to get a bf asap so i can switch myself back to being "normal" cause to them asexuality works this way. thanks folks.

Lucky you, I have terrible taste. I try to go for the personality but it always goes the wrong way. Tho I always had the feeling his bff had a crush on me (weird cause I'm not really attractive or likeable irl) for some time. He was a all-goody guy, introverted, great at studying and rich. He never made any move and I was just guessing. Probably I was misunderstanding him, I'm bad with people. He's now an IT student, he grabbed tons of scholarships in high school and will end up as some famous scientist or something. I remember wishing happy birthday on facebook and his reaction was super weird. Maybe there was something?

LOL that's so typical. Half of the people I went to school with look super old and deteriorated now. I feel really weird when I casually bump into some of them on the streets because I still feel (and look) in my early 20s while most of them already have families and look like legit middle aged dads/moms.
Not long ago I met with one of my best friends from middle school and I felt I had absolutely nothing to do with her anymore. She's married with two kids and only talked about boring mom things while I still have a young spirit, love to travel, partying, etc...She also looks in her mid 30s and her husband looks even older (early 40s or so).

The closest to love I've been was this guy in high school. He had to retake a whole year and came into my class and he was what parents would call a ~bad guy, but he was very cute and all the girls were after him. They sat me between him and his friend and he was always awfully nice to me. That year my classmates decided they hated me so he was always by my side, which idt helped with the hate but it was worth it. I discovered he was actually a REALLY good guy, always kind and helping me and cheering me up when I'd be sad. He (and his friend) defended me a a few times too, once from a teacher that actually threaten me physically. Plus he was really charming, it was super hard not to fall for how he smiled at me in the mornings or how he would unexpectedly hug me when he saw I needed it. He totally knew I had fallen so hard, just as I knew he only saw me as a little sister (I was 13 and he was 16 and he had a gf of 3y), but we both were okay with each other's position.

He was only a classmate for a year, but he made my worst year in high school bearable. The crush lasted forever, though. Years later I would meet him and still get this overwhelming feeling whenever he would stop me in the streets to ask how I was doing or smile at me. There was this one time when I was 20 that I went back there and he was on a bike and with his friends and he stopped right there to come see how I was doing. I didn't even think he would be interested after so many years. I learnt he had ended up getting his HS diploma and was going to pursue higher education. I am so glad he learnt what he wanted in life. He is such a good person and I am still so fond of him. I am not sure if that was love but it was surely the closest I've been to it.

I also fell for two "bad boys" in my first year of HS (Bachillerato?). They were so.damn.hot tbh. One of them was kind of a dick but the other was actually really sweet, nice and caring. We almost made out once, even, when I was tutoring him for an exam but my grandma came in that exact moment o_o. So damn embarrassing omg.

But your story is beautiful. I'm glad you're still in touch with such a nice person.

This is so sweet. I know what you mean though. I knew a few 'bad boys' in hs from youth clubs I used to be in. They had bad reps yet were really nice and always defended me when others gave me a hard time for being gay. Never judge a book

This cute guy on my swimming class. We were both 13 and "dated" for almost two years (nothing serious tho, just kisses and a bit of touching, the typical young teen shit lol). He's married since 24 and has two kids now.

I would turn into the most idiotic thing next to him but then I moved and I never saw him again, when I did he totally destroyed the imagine of pretty boy he had....god lord what puberty can do to people xD

I think I've already told my little story here before, but I'll tell it again! Mine is pretty tame too.

It wasn't love but very close. She was a friend of mine in high school. She was incredibly intelligent, had driest humour ever, and always spoke in this flat deadpan voice- but that was all part of her charm. She was incredibly charitable with her laughter cause she always laughed at my jokes even though I'm not a funny person. I don't know, I was into her for YEARS. I don't know what she thought of me- I don't even know if she was seeing anyone during that time, she was extremely private about things like that....I never made a move but also never really dated anyone else. ah, the pains of unrequited love.

Anyway, I moved away for college and she stayed. I didn't really go back home too much and haven't lived there since so we haven't seen each other since graduation. I'm not on FB or anything like that, so I don't even know how to contact her....Maybe at the 10 year reunion.......

Well, he's still a kid after all so not surprising. I remember when I was worried because I still hadn't had sex at 15 or so, and now I laugh at how stupid I was. I know that many kids start dating/having sex as young as 12/13 and they side-eye/bully the ones who doesn't but it's not really a big deal. In fact, I think 12/13 is kind of too young for serious dating, sex and stuff idk.

Idk, in my class most of people started to have sex at 13/14 so I used to feel like the weird one of the class. They started to smoke and drink very young too, like 12/13 or so.
It was the same when I started college. Most of people already had their gf/bf of YEARS despite being only 18. I personally couldn't understand them bc I only wanted to fool around and have fun at that age but most of them were already in commited relationships and I found it so boring. Maybe I'm the weird one idk lol.

I'm not sure what my first love was. I've had some super crushes. I had 3 boyfriends in high school that I said ILY to but I'm not sure that was real. Maybe my college boyfriend? or My summer before college boyfriend? The summer before guy is the nicest break up I've ever had.
