'SNSD': 'The female Super Junior'

Summary: SM Entertainment revealed teenager girl group SNSD on the 16th. Known as the “female Super Junior”, SNSD is composed of teenagers in the first, second, and third year of high school. Members have been revealed through teasers starting from the 6th, already reaching #1 on search engines. SM released a statement saying, “The group SNSD is meant to hope for a peaceful era of girls, and will be showcasing different talents in English, Chinese, Japanese, singing, acting, talent, MC, DJ, and modeling.”

Yoona has already shot CFs and music videos and has modeled for Clean & Clear and Sunkist. Sooyoung won over 15,000 others in a contest held by SM and TV Tokyo to form the Japanese-Korean duo Ruote 0. Hyoyeon is already known as dancing queen amongst netizens for her powerful performances and also studied abroad in China in 2004. Yuri has also shot CFs, Taeyeon was featured in a The One song, Tiffany and Jessica are from America, Sunny is a new face, and Seohyun is the maknae.

9 members is too much!… 'SNSD' Roundup

Summary: From the moment we grabbed an interview with SNSD, we began to worry. ‘Where are we going to find room for all these members, and how would we even interview all of them?’ For 9 people, the studio was too small. We couldn’t ask them to go outside with us in 30 degrees Celsius weather to shoot our interview either. We wouldn’t even know if we could take a photo of all 9 well. So we had to resort to an actual TV studio with studio lighting.

The girls haven’t yet gotten accustomed to the celebrity lifestyle yet; getting make-up done so early in the morning, going to the hair salon to get their hair done, and trying to do an interview when you haven’t even fully woken up yet must be hard on these young girls. Eventually, member Yoona seemed to not feel well and had to get an IV to continue.

We will be waiting to see if SNSD will become a one-hit wonder or a well-respected high-scale girl group respected for their talent.

1. SNSD? Eh, they don’t look very promising .. It seems like the concept was innocence. They don’t even look like celebrities here. There are so many normal girls on the street who are prettier than them, but can they even sing? Are they even singers? No one stands out either

Summary: Some of the faces of SNSD are familiar. Most of the members have already been in CFs. According to the agency, the members have skills in English, Chinese, Japanese, singing, talent, and MCing. People are calling them the “female Super Junior”.

1. Honestly ㅋㅋ Their visual is the best? Also, because it’s SM, they won’t just be singing weird songs like Wonder Girls or rambling like KARA

I was looking at a video of her and Hyoyeon, and it’s so easy to see how Jessica doesn’t even compare to Hyoyeon––ㅋShe tries to do a wave she cannot do, and what is she going to do about her thigh fat and muffin top…And what kind of name is SNSD? At the time I was loyal only to WG and didn't bother with them because 9 members was just too much and I was trying to focus all my attention on WG but never truly felt either way about them. I remember back in the day I knew these girls who were obsessed with SuJu (I wasn't into KPop at the time). And all they could talk about was how much they hated SNSD. I just remember feeling bad for the girl group, since the hate they were getting from my classmates was purely THEY MUST BE DATING SUJU THEY'RE SLUTS. Needless to say the majority of those girls are Sones now.

I remember this...I wasn't into their music but I remember looking at that first MV like, "Was that a panty flash?" and "Will they try the yuri concept like boy groups do yaoi?" Outside kdramas I was still jpop and mando/twpop focused lol.
