it's sometimes annoying how people who have zero knowledge on how shooting movies/mvs/etc works comment on how cheap something must me just because it looks simple. for example sm box videos can be pretty expensive. if you consider that bulding this kind of a set costs a LOT (i'm not talking about green box but legit set, made with soecyfic materials) and they tend to use really good cameras, and borrowing them is super expensive, plus you need people who know how to use them.
taeyang's mv never looked cheap to me, the lightning alone is worth more than you can imagine. also the camera... man, it's so much $$$, ever since i started film school i look at stuff with a calculator in my head.
I was gonna comment that the cameras alone can cost upwards of $10k, not to mention all the stylists, makeup artists, etc. I doubt Taeyang is getting "cheap treatment" from YG.
Eh, TOP just said that he wanted to do the photoshoot for the photobook in Italy but that it was going to be too expensive to fly the whole crew so they had to settle on New York. I don't think it's too far-fetched to think that they are getting a smaller budget than what they are used to as group.
not really at things i liked in the past but kinda the perspective i have now makes it hard to like new stuff. somehow I lost all the enthusiasm i used to have for movies. i was a huge filmi buff once in my life but gradually i became less and less interested. now i watch movies mostly to pick up languages/stare at pretty people and i fast forward a lot. maybe it's just me cause the people at my uni are all still super into movies and go to cinema four times a week and would kill to get a job at any set.

I never said it looked cheaped. I get that because you are in film school you have a better understanding on what the cost for a video production is. But this video is a lot cheaper than the usual YG videos
I think people are missing the artist accomplishment of a one take music video. It maybe lack all the crazy visuals and all that but it's really beautiful, perfectly fitting for a song and it allows you to understand the theme and feel of the concept.
Beyond just being a Taeyang fan, I wish more videos were similar to this, I like things that are stripped away when it comes to ballads and slow songs.
lol no. It sort of takes away some of the emotion for me bc I want to keep laughing at it. like wtf was the plot, a gangsta who works in the cafeteria that had a tragic love affair with a student and finds relief singing in the school parking lot after work?
I'm a sucker for simple, esp when strong emotion is the main concern. When he's not trying, he's such a sweetheart. I wonder if there's another mv on the way...
