What's the Deal With Starlights? Vixx force to change choreography...Again.

Netizens have been abuzz lately and in contact with Jellyfish Entertainment in order to comment on the choreography for VIXX’s “Eternity.”


According to buzz, Leo fans are angry at Jellyfish Entertainment because Leo was not featured enough in the dance sequences for “Eternity.” Fans estimate Leo only has about 20-30 seconds of screen time, which didn’t settle well, especially since N has more face time and lip syncs Leo’s parts! Fans protested, and Jellyfish changed the choreography so Leo had more time on air.

Now, rumors are Starlights are angry at each other over the controversy since they feel all members should have equal love, and they are angry at Jellyfish Entertainment since they changed the choreography so fast.

Jellyfish Entertainment can’t catch a break with fans given previous controversies, so they seem to be listening to fans more when it comes to their groups.

Many Starlights feel Jellyfish shouldn’t have changed anything.

Fans of Leo and N may be at odds.

Fan in-fighting feels a bit strange, but it does happen. But should it happen over something as small as choreography?

Though I do agree that each member should have a chance to shine, I think doing something like this is messy. Starlights are slowly becoming the whiny fandom...I don't want to be know as the whiny fandom, Starlights get your shit together. If anything the camera men or women need to go back to training because they never film the right people when it comes to these different music shows.

flaw-free gifs OP. NGL I was miffed that Leo had so little screentime but I don't think fans should have acted the way they did. I was actually super glad that Jellyfish put Hyuk on the front lines this promo cycle, he's getting his time to shine :3

Also, LBR it makes complete sense to put N at the front - he's VIXX's face essentially, what with him being on Hotel King and err'thang. Sad that I see less of Leo though because goddamn he is looking fine though he looks fine all the time

Anyway, this was actually super nicely timed, as I was just going through my picture albums and noticed that I have way too many VIXX gifs and I felt like spamming a post >:)

How can that few of Leo's fans not recognize that the members care about each other. Don't they remember that interview where Leo said he wasn't jealous of Ravi having more money than them because of his rap royal? Or that even back in MyDol that even though Jellyfish was debating between Leo and Jaehwan (which I thought they were crazy. Wouldn't it be better for a group to have more than one good singer? Crazy!!!!!), Leo and Jaehwan never saw each other as hated enemy no. 1. and that Neo is 24 hours and forever, or that VIXX is 6otpts

Usually in the second verse it seemed like Ken and Leo would get to sing their lines on camera but did not this time

Leo has the most fans and they thought the lives would make up for the MV so I'm not surprised...

Though N lipsyncing Leo and Ken's lines in the center during the chorus isn't new so that is not really notable

Actually I bet part of the complaints were motivated over annoyance about VixxTV ending too

Dear that fraction(hopefully) of Leo's fans, if you love Leo and followed his every move, you would have known that NEO IS FOREVER AND EVER AND THEY CARE MUCH ABOUT EACH OTHER, 24 HOURS, ETC AND ETC. for the good of the group please don't spit member against each other when they don't even seem to mind their position in the dance.

Each member is very good at doing their moves and dancing together. However N has always been touted as one of the best and main dancers in VIXX. The main vocal is not always at the center of a dance. Being the leader, N has always been one of the more recognizable faces because he has had to go on show to promote VIXX.

They shouldn't be bother too much with Ken has more singing line. I feel kind of bad that he's the only member who hasn't had single activity yet.

Saw some angry kfan tweets before i went to bed, didnt think much of it. Then woke up to a choreo change and tlist freaking out.

Whatever! I just hate that they're directing the anger at flawless Cha-leader when everyone actually lipsyncs at the chorus. They're a small group though. Most kfan tweets that ive seen have been so protective and supportive of hakyeon. I do have this nagging feeling that hakyeon initiated the choreo change because tweets have been directed to him and the choreographer and im guessing he's just over it. And probably understands the fans' POV (though they reacted poorly), so just to get it over with agreed to changing the choreo.

Also sit down you immature leo stans! Bb has been getting most of the lines since 5ever! Ken and leo are both main vocals but leo always had more lines! Like, you couldnt give in this one time? Didnt you think that jelpi was being considerate to taekwoon having to still do musicals on top of album prep/promo? The other members barely had any schedules! Sure hakyeon and hongbin have acting gigs but that's like less than 2 minutes of screen time per episode! Plus taekwoon has his soccer stuff too!

Im not too keen on jelpi being such a pushover though. I get addressing the boycott, but this issue is should be a non-issue and i dont want fans to get the idea that they can bully the company to get what they want.

Also OP, how did u find this source? Are they big? I didnt think anyone outside the fandom even knew about this.

i'm pretty sure this happens to every group and i mean, leo has gotten plenty of time to shine on his own especially singing-wise (even though i find ken's voice much more pleasant tbh. i mean i like leo, but i wasn't upset that he had so little lines in this song because i'm just not a huge fan of his voice even though i can acknowledge that he's very talented) so idk why they're making such a big deal that he's gotten less screen-time this time around. there will be other comebacks and i'm sure he'll get more screentime then.

Ugh this mess. N is almost always dancing in the front during choruses (for obvs reasons) so him being in the front while someone else is singing is hardly new. Jellyfish needs to get it together like I get theyve never really dealt with an idol group and the crazy that comes with it before but this is not the kind of thing to be giving in to. Listening to fans when they were talking about management being asshats to everyone was good bc that kinda shit reflects poorly on the group & company and can ruin potential jobs for for the members bc nobody wants to work with difficult ppl. idk if whiny is the word i'd use but starlights are definitely vocal. they have no problem getting together and letting jelpi know when somethin aint right.

when watching the mv i actually said out loud
"okay why is n in front when leo is singing"

overall i'm glad they made the change because screen time is a huge thing on music shows. leo doesn't talk much on shows so he shines on stage. if another member is showcased during his time to shine it's not fair.

i totally understand where leo fans are coming from and it's nice to see jellyfish listening to the fans but this might be a tad overdramatic? leo has always had a lot of lines and screentime and he's been such a prominent figure. for once, he isn't and immature fans need to sit down and shush. sorry, but sometimes, you can't always what you want. there's always going to be a comeback where a certain member gets less screentime and where one stands out.

I just love the groups and disregard everything. I don't really have to mingle myself among the fandom even though I call myself a Inspirit, a Starlight, or Baby...'Cuz I know fandoms can get a bit crazy depending on the level of devotion an individual has for the group.

I think this article is blowing the issue out of proportion? From what I can infer it's a small group of fans and on the whole not that big of a deal. It just seems so unlike usual Starlight behaviour and I'd be really surprised if there were any repercussions because of this tbh. But then again I'm not part of the K-Starlights and am basing all this on speculation.

Kstarlight tweets keep referring to those fans as 악개 fans.

악개 수니 means:
악개 = 악 (malicious) + 개 (dog). literally means someone who is dangerous to the society because of their attitude. very offensive word. cannot be used thoughtlessly.
수니 = derived from 빠수니 which means hardcore fans.
so 악개 수니 means hardcore fans who has bad impact on other (inside or outside fandom) eg some immature fans on every fandom.

lmao, tell me about it. I'm not that much into Kisumai anymore but the 3/4 distribution was so damn unfair. The 4 didn't even look like part of the group, but random backdancers.
People used to complain about HSJ and the Yamada-centric distribution too, but I don't think hating on the poor kid was okay.
