omonatheydidI love when Changbum updates us with short video's of him dancing. He has done it a few times before. Here, Here, Here with Chanyong & Minwoo and lastly here.
I'm so proud of him for learning to play the guitar and the keyboard. He keeps improving in so many things I honestly can't believe I once called him pretty much useless because I found his dancing and rapping skills pretty bland but now he sings, choreographs, produces (writes lyrics), goes to university, takes acting classes, learning instruments and he is just over all growing up very well. Changbum has been right next to Chanyong in terms of improving. Actually all of them have been working really hard.

These videos are actually pretty old, they were posted back in April. They all decided to post videos of them being our boyfriends? I'm not sure what the purpose behind the videos were but they are certainly adorable and worth sharing. The videos pretty much convinced me that 100% could produce their own comebacks since I'm sure they could do so much better than what they have been given.
I just feel like I need to express my thoughts. 100% haven't really been doing that well. Well enough to survive as a group but it's frustrating to see 100%'s efforts being so wasted. Especially their talent. I don't even dare to post that many omona posts with 100% because I just simply assume that no one cares about them. It saddens me since 100% were one of the more successful groups back in 2012. Their frequent hiatuses, Sanghoon leaving, Minwoo enlisting, Songs flopping etc. It's been just really hard on 100%. They even said in an interview how they kept thinking "why does these stuff happen to us" "why can't we be successful too" even though they also say that they will keep trying hard and do their best. I also recently found out that 100% have been auditioning a lot so they can be on TV & radio since Top Media isn't doing that much to promote them. I've been following 100% since their debut. I know all the hardships and struggle they have been going through. 100% (and SPICA) have been my escape and they kept helping me to gain strength so I decided to not give up. They are working so hard and they treat fans so well it's only right to try just as hard as them. Even if my omona posts (or other sns posts) don't do well I just want people to not forget about 100%, that some of you become even if it's just a little interested in them and maybe even join the Perfection fandom. I know 100% isn't the only group suffering and compare them to other nugu groups they are doing really well but I really don't trust Top Media and I don't want to regret not trying hard enough if they happen (my biggest nightmare) to disband. I'm also always open to introduce 100% to anyone or just help out to find more about them. Thank you for actually reading the whole "rant" and I'm also sorry for all the emotional text. ♥

Sigh I wish they'd use the 100Percent account to upload more than just official videos/real 100% stuff. I need to see Changbum dance in HD and on a reliable player. And kinda ot but I love that this fandom has a dedicated (and fast) subber.

Date: 2014-06-01 04:59 am (UTC)I actually adore 100% to the extreme, all the boys are so adorable and cute and sweet and dorks and I honestly feel your pain about all the crap they've had to deal with. Especially because, like you said, they have so much talent and really have all the right qualities to make them successful, Bad Boy really blew them up. I'm super pissed at TM for managing them the way they have been - the boys should have come back straight after their variety show ended and continued to consistently release tracks instead of going AWOL for like, a year.
I still have no idea why Sanghoon left, was it because of health issues? He was so qt and dumb in their videos omg :') Though I honestly wouldn't blame him if he left because their ship was sinking - I feel like TM have been making really poor song choices for them. Don't get me wrong I loved Bad Boy and Want U Back, but having them do ballads was probably not the best idea. I feel like the reason they didn't meet expectations was the same reason 15& didn't meet expectations and ended up getting overshadowed by Lee Hi, they chose slow songs when Korea wanted earworms :(
Damn I ended up writing an essay as well OTL Either way, keep doing what you're doing OP, I kow that the boys have the potential of becoming big - hopefully it will be sooner rather than later :)

He seems happy but it kinda bothers me that a straight A student like him isn't going back to study and trying to actually do something with his future because now I keep thinking "is an Ice Cream Shop really better than the idol life?" but as long as he is healthy and happy I'm not really complaining.

I know how you feel tho, I'm a huge fan of Bigstar but my babies get no love ;;; and I can't even make posts about them if I wanted too because they're not really doing anything and they've been in Japan all this year so far OTL

Date: 2014-06-01 08:23 am (UTC)What's key to remember is that even though groups may not get as much recognition, they can still survive and do well with just their loyal existing fandom, see U-Kiss. Also things can only go up from here, I mean 100% have gotten a lot of good publicity from their stints on Immortal Song - they need to become regulars tbh - and it's all just a matter of having the planets aligned for that one song which will rocket them into fame. No one can predict that, I mean who would have guessed Crayon Pop with Bar Bar Bar would become such a big hit?
But as I said, as long as there are Perfections I'm sure there will be 100%. It's just a matter of trusting in the members, believing in their talent and supporting them throughout the hard slog up to the top. Hwaiting!

Date: 2014-06-01 11:13 am (UTC)I guess Top Media are just focused on promoting Teen Top, cause that group is the more successful one. Which is kinda like, well okay promote your more popular group to get $$, but then direct some of that money to promote 100% as well. Tbh I think the agency isn't well equipped enough to handle promoting two idol groups at once. I sometimes feel that these smaller agencies do much better by handling one idol group at a time, i.e. Woolim with Infinite, Jellyfish with VIXX. That way they can focus all their promotion efforts.
I have absolute faith that 100% will make it big though. What Top Media really need to do is play to the group's strengths and release something that is distinctly 100%, then go with all out promotions and saturate the market, for lack of a better description. It's how BAP, Infinite and VIXX did it.

Top Media just keep pushing Teen Top and that's all. It's understandable, because they are good, they managed to win on shows, they do well on variety.
But 100% will never be able to prove they can do just as well if their company doesn't try to help them get more publicity.

Date: 2014-06-01 09:05 pm (UTC)i'm not really digging their last comeback or debut but want u back and v's missing you are my jams. both songs are flawless and idk what is standing on their way towards success :( also i don't get how they managed to win immortal song TWO TIMES (idk how many idols did it but not many, they rarely manage to win a round) and how it didn't gave them more exposure, is top media screwing them over with zero or bad mediaplay?
i stan mostly btob and cube sucks at promoting them too, both groups are super talented and it hurts to see it getting wasted :(

Date: 2014-06-01 11:02 pm (UTC)Wow I had no idea IS holds auditions! I thought people get there cause their company is strong enough to back them, like in exchange for someone more famous from that agency, or PDs request them.
I hope promised summer comeback for BtoB will be good and they'll get more fans. I heard they got good responce from their first IS guesting but idk, it doesn't prove anything tbh. IS is beneficial when you're a regular/fixed cast so the audience remembers you. Many soloist came back to spotlight after regular guestings. I often get the feeling the audience voting is biased agaist idols tho :p
I keep my fingers crossed cube will delay BtoB's Japan promo but it seems unlikely, I think they'll get shipped while the new girl groups debuts.
