The series will revolve around Park Hoon, a South Korean who was captured with his father and grows up in North Korea. He is trained to become a genius doctor, and though Park Hoon lands a job at the best South Korean hospital after defecting, he is treated as a foreigner. To find his lost North Korean first love, Song Jae Hee, he does anything to make money.

I feel like this drama is moving kinda fast in terms of reveals. All that shit we got in these two episodes. 0_o
I want Jae Joon and Hoon to plot and kill Jang and run off into the sunset together.
I died when Dr. Eun said Soo Hyeon was a mediocre doctor, she kinda is.
And as for the gifs your using OP, I never noticed Bora's character was calling Hoon 'hyung' and not 'oppa' lol.

I just loved that scene and the look on Chang Yi's mom's face. Though after this scene it's kinda obvious that she might've a crush on him after she avoided her mom's question.

ok i admit i skimmed some parts of this drama so bear with my question if its dumb (but can somebody answer them for me lol):
why did the prime minister want hoon to do his surgery at first but now wants jaejoon teams instead?

Your question isn't dumb, I've watched almost all scenes and read some recaps and there's no definite answer to this. The most obvious (or too obvious) answer would be he's afraid that Hoon will kill him during the surgery but then he wouldn't have wanted Hoon to perform his surgery in the first place.
My guess is that Agent Cha is pressuring the PM, because when Hoon got fired, the Agent sneaked up to the PM, who then visited the hospital's director and Hoon was reinstated. Now the question would be, why is the PM abiding by Agent Cha's pressure? Maybe because Agent Cha knows the PM got blood on his hands. If he'd reveal everything, PM would be sitting in jail in no time. So now the PM changed his mind and instead of giving in, he's just getting rid of them.
Buuuut that's just my theory. The plot is really convoluted, I bet it's even more complicated.

I never really got the impression he wanted Hoon specifically. Did I forget something. And if he did, I think he suspected that getting his girl out of Korea would provide extra motivation for a successful surgery. In the end he realised that Jaejoon is just as motivated and, to his knowledge, sans resentment.

Poor storytelling tbh. I'm thinking it's because Hoon made it clear he'll kill him. Which is sad and ironic because I'm certain Jae Joon will/is planning on doing the same thing.

This drama is good, mostly because the lead is brilliant.
Two things nag me though:
1) That hot nurse with the bedroom eyes, who looks like the teacher on Wonderful Days, is too distracting. She takes over the screen when she appears.

2) The lead and his 'true love' just don't have the chemistry he and Kang Sora have. Then again, Kang Sora has chemistry with everyone and anyone.

I totally missed how Hoon apparently realizes Seung hee is Jae hee but is just keeping her secret til I read a recap. Rewatching knowing that made their scenes sweet.
I know it was supposed to be dramatic but when they revealed Jae Joon's real name and the evil lawyer guy and him chat all I could think was that he has a evil hyung again like Man from the Stars. Hehe.

I ship Park Hoon and Oh Soo Hyun, they seem to be the only honest decent characters plus they are cute together.

and WTF kinda doctors/hospital turns surgery into a competition! That has got to be against the medical code of ethics.

Park Jae Hun, guessing he is that child victim of the prime minister that was adopted abroad and is now back for revenge.

This drama is very awkwardly directed, I don't know if I would keep watching if it wasn't for my Lee JongSuk bias.

oh and I cheered when Hoon punched that asshole in the bathroom

Meh, I'm getting tired of the ~hoon's only being a friend but will hug soohyun but like in a totally friendly way while soohyun gets red and her heart fluttered~ scenes. i really wish that simulation scene didn't turn into some romantic moment. i want medicine in the drama back, it's all "let's explore soohyun's feelings" right now.
