Park Bom’s comment on 1st for Inkigayo creates controversy

It seems that Bom’s comment about wanting to win 1st place on “Inkigayo”, that aired on the 4th episode of “Roommate”, has led netizens to assume that she meant 4Minute didn’t deserve the top spot.

On the latest episode of “Roommate” Park Bom confessed, “I thought for sure that we [2NE1] would place first, but I guess not. When I was coming off the stage, Nana held my hand and told me “Your team should have gotten it [1st place]” and her words gave me strength.”

Right after the broadcasting finished, a topic was made on Nate Pann titled “Park Bom you were too reckless [with your comment] this time”. The author of the post wrote, “If you were sure you’d get 1st, does that mean 4Minute and Girl’s Generation should have gotten 2nd and 3rd place? You were not being modest.”

Some netizens had posted various comments such as “Park Bom should apologize and never do this again” or “I was uncomfortable as I was watching”.

Many defended Park Bom by leaving comments like “Why should she be sorry about wanting to be 1st?”, “She won 1st last week, so of course she was upset she didn’t get it this week” and “She works hard to get to that position, why can’t she say she wan’t it”.

How do you feel about her comment? Were the netizens blowing this out of proportion or should she be more careful with her words?

Male idols get a lot of shit for stupid things too. Onew got a lot shit for a stupid middle finger and for wearing a cap with the words "welcome motherf*ckers", EXO get shit on a regular basis for being so popular and -according to netizens- not deserving it bc they're untalented, B1A4 has been accused of buy back their own records because "they couldn't possibly win over DBSK!!1", I think they also accused 2PM of the same thing because they won "when they were flopping digitally", they absolutely despise Rain for an army issue or something like that, etc...Idk why people are turning this into a gender issue when netizens bash everyone and male idols aren't certainly not safe at all. negl, roommate has given me a whole new appreciation for nana. she is SO considerate and always notices when others are down.

one thing that stood out was in the first episode when lee sora was off by herself and nana was the ONLY ONE who went up to her, took her arm, and tried to include her in the house tour. and that's just one of many instances where u see nana reach out to somehow in the house that looks like they're having a hard time.

she's a fuckin' sweetheart i cant even at her haters. bom is totally valid in feeling the way she did---EVERYONE wants to have the top spot---aint nothing wrong with expressing that. and bless nana for backing her up, that's what friends do!

Their pissed at Nana for using informal speech with CL after their first meeting. They're the same age and debuted in the same year. CL is barely her senior.

They also got mad when she hugged CL after Bom did as a joke. CL didn't really like it because they hugged her in a way she thought was too girly (not her way of hugging). Netz started saying it was because of her bad girl past that she has no manners(ilbe?).

I can't watch variety shows with female idols. They get too much hate for even following a script, let alone being human beings.
