CNBLUE member and actor Jung Yong Hwa may possibly join the cast of new tvN mini series titled “The Three Musketeers.”
On May 23, a representative of the drama revealed the current situation, stating that Jung Yong Hwa has not officially confirmed his casting in the mini series.
The production company of “The Three Musketeers,” JS Pictures stated, “It is true that there was a meeting with Jung Yong Hwa to discuss the casting. However, because he is a Hallyu star, there are many adjustments to be made with his schedule. It is too early to say that anything has been confirmed.”
The mini series is written by Song Jae Jung, the scriptwriter of “Queen In Hyun’s Man” as well as “Nine,” and will be directed by Kim Byung Soo. “The Three Musketeers” is a historical drama, set during the Joseon Dynasty. It is drawing attention, as it is expected to be a big-scale project with a reported investment of 10 billion KRW (~$10 million USD) in production costs.
They can try...

Date: 2014-05-23 08:35 pm (UTC)wow, i wonder who in korea is able to commit themselves for such a project. tho tvn is doing like the 13th season of rude miss youngjae so probably they'll be able to handle it and get some decent actors
i like younghwa but is he able to pull it off?

Date: 2014-05-23 10:00 pm (UTC)I'm a bit hesitant since on one side YH has quite a busy sched and on another I'm not sure his acting chops will be able to pull him through in terms of public opinion. I however will definitely enjoy watching him lol (there's a reason it's called a *bias*).

Date: 2014-05-23 09:45 pm (UTC)'The Three Musketeers' is the work of 'Nine's director Kim Byung Soo and writer Song Jae Jung, and takes place during the Joseon Dynasty. The drama portrays the adventure of Park Dahl Hyang who comes from a poor family but of noble birth and tries out for the military force, joining the Crown Prince Sohyeon and his warrior guards Heo Seung Po, Ahn Min Suh, and Kang Won Do.
heard he's offered to play the crown prince

Date: 2014-05-24 12:55 pm (UTC)Also very interested in how they will execute the three-season-plan. Has there been any planned multiseason dramas before? Not like Vampire Prosecutor, where they decided on a second season after the success of the first, but where multiple seasons is sth the writer/director decides from the beginning?
