Let's Meet Crayon Pop's Little Sisters, 단발머리 aka 'Bob Girls'!

Chrome Entertainment, home to Crayon Pop and K-Much, will be introducing their second girl group, Bob Girls.

On May 21, Chrome Entertainment announced the new group with a picture and said, “Chrome Entertainment’s second girl group, ‘Bob Girls,’ is preparing to debut on stage mid June.” A representative of Chrome Entertainment explained that the group’s concept and style is not just based on the short haircut, but a symbol on the transformation a girl will go through when she cuts her long hair. “Through various transformations and changes, the group will show their unique personalities and colors with their bobbed hair identities.”

Bob Girls, which could be a working title (it's not), is named after their bobbed hair style. Their members are Dahye, Yoojung, Jina, and Danbi. The members are not just pretty, but have excellent skills in singing and dancing.

Bob Girls, or 단발머리 (which is more along the lines of 'short hair cut' or 'bob cut') in Korean, first made their presence as a group known back in April when their group Twitter was created. Originally they had 5 members but the eldest, Soomin, left about a week or two ago for reasons unknown. The group's debut as a 4-membered group continued to develop and all mentions of Soomin were deleted off the official Twitter without comment.

For those with sharp eyes, you may recognize a few of them from the background of Crayon Pop's Uh-ee MV and from being featured in K-Much's backstage video at Crayon Pop and Kim Jang Hoon's Hero Concert (the other girls are also trainees).

-- The first member to cut her hair short and possibly inspired the group's entire concept.

I don't mean this in a negative way, because more power to you/I wish I had the money, but those women have had an astonishing amount of liposuction/assorted fat removal procedures/body scaping. I'm kind of impressed.

I've looked at several plastic surgery clinic websites because I'm fascinated by all of it, and pretty much all of the "After" pictures look like their arms and legs. Korea is really, really good at liposuction, and the major point you can tell is the thigh gap. It's really hard to get a thigh gap naturally (actually it's impossible to do it naturally unless you have the right pelvis/leg build and/or extreme muscle wasting), especially if you're healthy enough to be an idol.

I have a dream of one day being in the right position in life for Korean plastic surgeons to go to town. 8D

Lol I love how you say it's impossible to have a thigh gap and then you're like "UNLESS". Thigh gaps are possible, I currently have one (that I don't like but whatever) so I get where you're coming from but maybe they do have thigh gaps. I see them all the time on persons that definitely haven't had surgeries to get one.

While the one "thigh gap" picture of Yoojung seems to be caused by the way she's standing (I just tried it out in the mirror, no joke) . . . I agree, most of them look like they've had some PS. Especially their noses and Yoojung's jaw. Jina looks pretty natural, but even then I'm a skeptic.

there's some speculation that they're gonna have a remake of a yongpop/kmuch song but mostly it's just joking (but not really bc it's chrome so you never know)

Aggressively not feeling this, because

1) I usually hate gimmick groups especially if the gimmick is that all the members are the same in some way (exception: BAP), and

2) Chrome succeeded with Crayon Pop by making them not the same as other girl groups - not drawing from the same model-wannabe talent pool, getting "regular" girls who were likable - and focusing on putting out fun songs of good quality.

The CEO is even on record as saying he didn't want to do what other people were doing (http://crayonpopslavesubs.tumblr.com/post/60040993718/chrome-ceo-interview) and that was his impetus for forming Crayon Pop. So the sudden swerve into gimmickry and constructed-sexy is disappointing.... maybe the group will surprise, who knows, but I'm not holding my breath.

idk the "Bob" concept seems like a one-era type thing i dont know how they are going to pull it off for so long if they plan on lasting a long time since hairstyles change era after era. plus itll be kind of weird if you had long hair when your group name is about a short hairstyle.
