A man with a painful past and an heiress who has led a sheltered life must work together to confront their pasts and fight for a better future. Cha Jae Wan (Lee Dong Wook) carries emotional baggage after being abandoned by his father as a child but grows up to become the successful manager of the Hotel Ciel, the only 7-star luxury hotel in Korea. Ah Mo Ne (Lee Da Hae), the daughter of the hotel owner, has lived a life of privilege and comfort but is faced with having to save her family’s hotel from a sudden crisis. The hotel’s concierge, Sun Woo Hyun (Im Seul Ong), clashes with Jae Wan on ways to save the hotel and competes for Mo Ne’s heart, while Song Chae Kyung (Wang Ji Hye), the hotel restaurant manager and Jae Wan’s ex-girlfriend, complicates matters. Can Jae Wan and Mo Ne win the battle for their beloved hotel and their personal feelings? “Hotel King” is a 2014 South Korean drama series directed by Kim Dae Jin.

I've seriously no idea, why I'm still watching this drama, oh wait it's b/c of Lee Dong Wook, Lee Da Hae and My Girl. I kinda wish they made a sequel to my Girl instead.

Well, the fact that Cha Jae Wan is the vice chairman's son is really unspectacular, this was so predictable.
I kinda wish Ray/Lay would've spilled the beans to Mo Ne and did he call Mo Ne Jae Wan's fiancée or wat?

Oh and what happened about the srs biz about increasing the hotel revenue? This writer really needs to get her priorities straight.

I'm sad they changed the PD, because at least the camera work was pretty.

As I watch HK I think melo is really not for LDW, he overacts so much here. He did romance-melo scent of woman and he was good there... I don't get it... is the pd thing? He asks actors to overact ??

lol well i'm glad they resolved the incest crisis and who the real father actually was pretty quickly, i was going to get into some weird theories.

i'm thinking that manager baek is just playing the long game and protecting AMN and CJW, since it wouldn't be smart to go against the VC rn?
there's no way that the kid CJW was with died right? for drama's sake, u know, bring back the kid you thought was dead all along!!

haven't watched the new episodes yet, but I'm relieved that Cha Jae Wan knew the truth that Ah Mo Ne is not his sister

This show is so melodramatic but imma watch it anyways because of all the pretty.

LDW in the pinstripe shirt during ep 12 was everything. He wears clothes so well.

I may be reading too much into bu are the authors trying to make some connection here: AMN has ornithophobia -> in one of these episodes, AMN says she hates all things with wings (albeit not during a sserious moment) -> CJW has a tattoo of wings.

Naaah, I see it, too. He does have pale skin but not that pale and sometimes it looks like he's wearing lip tint idek.
