Instiz: After EXO Kris, group A is also... will there be a bunch of lawsuits in music industry?

It looks like Korean music industry will be swept in another lawsuit.

New hallyu-dols, group A, is currently preparing for a lawsuit for their contract termination. The members have spent more than $10,000 and even hired a lawyer.

The biggest conflict between group A and the company is the issue of money. Despite their numerous concerts in Korea and their overseas tours, they did not get paid properly. The company doesn't know what to do because they invested a lot of money on the group and yet the earnings are lower than anticipated.

It differs by the contracts, but usually, idols get paid when they earn more than the invested money. The company says that they're not paying them yet because a lot of money was used for the promotions.

The music industry is in quiet chaos as there will be another lawsuit after EXO Kris. An insider said, "the music industry just came back from the ferry disaster, so I'm worried that the lawsuits will affect it."

Now that B.A.P was mentioned, I do feel it could be them. I don't want it to be, but at the same time, they've been working like crazy, with no breaks, the underhand stuff is not going to cut it.

I don't think it's BAP because they have got paid to do ads and it seems thats where the real money flows in... It's probably a group that hasn't got that kind of deal yet . But who knows.

They may not have been paid a lot for the endorsements either. Celebs at their level (in Korea) tend to be paid way less than US$200K per deal. It's possible that the money from the endorsements don't even amount to the money the agency invested in them.

As much as it pains me to say it, I think BAP fit in this description. I don't know how they did in US, but here in Europe they didn't even sell out all the tickets (minus in Germany, I think). I hope it's not true though because they're one of my favorite groups and I don't want them to disband so soon :(

Feels like BAP. It does seem like TS spent a lot of money on BAP. The group has been around for just over to 2 years and TS has been doing a lot with them:

- 1 full album, 3 minis, 3 singles, 1 repackage; 3 Japanese singles
- numerous mvs (11 Korean, 3 Japanese)
- expensive mvs: One Shot ranking as one of the most expensive mv; Badman i guess (but we could have done without that mess of an mv)
- 2 multi-continent tour; 1 Japanese tour

The only think it doesn't fit is that "they didn't meet the expectations" and as far I know they're doing really good. Their two last releases have sold over 100k, they've won 3-4 times on music shows, they're the most successful 2012 group aside from EXO, and maybe VIXX and A-Pink, so unless they're all talking only about the overseas tour...idk :/

i will never eVER recover if it's them i swear it'd be the end of me in kpop-land !!! (except if they all the 6 of them together do something similar to block b, but... idk... block b was an exceptional case that exceptionally went good?)

but this article reminds me... how after the merging of woolim/infinite with sm there have been multiple rumours on how other groups and other companies will also merge with sm as well and everybody was feaking out... and... well... nothing happened in the end. so... *fingers crossed* that these are just simple rumours and nothing more... gosh enough dramas for now please. :(

idgaf about topp dogg being fucked over because evol's comeback has been postponed for topp dogg to have a subunit or some shit. i'm not angry at you or the 21 members of that group, i'm just in a mood that girl groups have been continously fucked over for boy groups and nobody really cares.

the only group that comes to mind is b.a.p. they're fairly new, and have toured overseas. infinite, boyfriend, and teen top have gone overseas as well but have all been around for longer, so i don't think it's them.
