U-KISS will be recruiting a new member for their release next month.
Since last October when Dongho had departed from the group, they have been running auditions for a new member and have now made the decision for their comeback next month, in which they are preparing for now.
The unannounced situation of the new member, who is said to possess great vocal, rap and dance skills, has been a hot topic amongst fans as his face was unexpectedly revealed online. Through the Twitter of U-KISS's back-up dancers comes a behind-the-scenes group photo.
With the addition of a new member, U-KISS will become a 7 member group again. However AJ will be remaining at Columbia University for the time being as he pursues his studies and will not be joining the group for upcoming activities.
NH Media stated on the 12th, "AJ began his studies last January and it was said that once he has completed his studies he will rejoin the group activities. However due to unforeseen circumstances and requirements of the school, he will not be able to join us for the next release".
Back in October of 2013 Dongho left the group due to health reasons and not liking the idol life style. NH had said that they had no plans of adding a new member.While Ukiss were set to have a comeback at the end of April, then it was pushed back to some time in March, and NOW no one really knows anything about it. 4 u-kiss members are scheduled to participate in the Musical Goong in mid march.
It has now come out that there is seemingly supposed to be a new member added to the group. Maybe AJ is taking summer classes??? or maybe because the release was originally scheduled to comeback while he was still in spring semester/finals

probably because right now eli is the only 'rapper' when there used to be 3....

Date: 2014-05-15 07:49 am (UTC)I don't know... Sure, UKiss lost a lot of fans when Xander and Kibum got replaced but hey, the new members back then were the right boost for the group :) Hopefully that will be the case again, maybe?
I'm pleasantly surprised that the KissMe fandom is taking this positively. By the sound of him, the new guy sounds promising. It's just that... I noticed that the boys got so much closer after Dongho left and I hope the new guy won't ruin their dynamics as a group.
But my gashhhhhh no Jaeseop for another like.... six months? I've been waiting for him to come back ;_____;

I mean adding 2 new members by kicking out 2 old members could end disastrously, but honestly I think the addition of Hoon and AJ was one of the best things for the group (and I'm saying this as a Kiss Me who was around before the whole saga occurred). So as shady as NHM can be about this sort of thing, I'm fairly certain the new addition will be stan worthy.
Besides they're going to need an actual rapper considering AJ isn't around due to schoolno subject

Date: 2014-05-15 09:45 am (UTC)I was so very impressed by Eli's dedication and hard work when he had delivered all the rap parts in the various concerts and performances U-KISS have had in 2014 and rarely made mistakes.
He was very stressed about it though, and I can see how hard it would be to continue with a tour like that.

Date: 2014-05-22 11:28 pm (UTC)Well, neither of them are really good (most of the kpop groups aren't, and the raps are usually very hard to bear because.. no, just no), but compared to other kpop groups they're alright :) Eli's gotten a lot better since last year.
I don't follow U-KISS too actively but I went to their valentine event and Eli did really good job :) And he has changed some flows of the raps from DongHo's and AJ's parts to make them more his own.

I've been through the 2011 member change saga and this one is totally different.. That was a disastrous month for me.

There's no shadiness and no unfairness in the way the replacement was done so I think this is why this one is easier to accept. At least it is for me.
