The series will revolve around Park Hoon, a South Korean who was captured with his father and grows up in North Korea. He is trained to become a genius doctor, and though Park Hoon lands a job at the best South Korean hospital after defecting, he is treated as a foreigner. To find his lost North Korean first love, Song Jae Hee, he does anything to make money.

enjoyed episode 3 and 4 too, but then again i think i'd enjoy any episode with ljs in it even if he were lying on the floor for an hour comatose.

ughhhh my heart dying at his imaginary scenes with jae hee
he somehow calculates the perfect moment for the tears to fall, i don't know how he does it (last year with sooha at the aquarium, hoon at the bridge in hungary, in his room, and at the end of episode 4).

enjoyed the hospital scenes, but i guess i'm used to the pace in episodes 1 and 2? the blue line scene and some others were way too slow and dragged out. kinda wish episode 4 wasn't so soohyun centric either, it's still early on and they should've really focused on hoon and how he tries to fit into the hospital.

kang so ra is good. i like her character too but i don't understand all this "make hoon and soo hyun get together omg" rage all over the web (both korean and int'l) because um the whole point of the show is that park hoon is in love with song jae hee and will do anything to get her back? i'm thinking it's partly because jin se yeon isn't liked very much, and i don't like her either (not like dislike, but not like) but she's been fine so far (surprised me) in acting and with looks so... anyways, regardless of actors it's clear the whole show is about hoon and jae hee.

Basically she's a mediocre (not bad, nor good) actress w/ a pretty face and a bit bland. She needs to work on her range of facial expressions,
However I think the main reason she's disliked is because, although she was born in '94 her, she already worked with famous celebrities (Joo Ji Hoon, Joo Won, Kim Hyun Joong, Choi Jin Hyuk).

it's not so much who she's worked with or the lack of acting ability i think (there should be lot more actors and actresses who should be hated for that...) and not everything has to be about ~girls be jealous cuz she working with those men~ shenanigan omg.

i think the main reason is that she tends to come into the show at the last minute and is notorious for double booking for roles, like she jumped into gaksital before my daughter flower ended filming, jumped into five fingers before gaksital ended, and now jumped into doctor stranger before age of feelings ended. that doesn't sound so bad until you realize she was the main lead for all of them.

it got really bad for age of feelings because they were in the middle of filming when she flew over to hungary to film doctor stranger - i mean, she did get permission from the age of feelings staff i'm sure, can't just ditch a production like that unless you're han ye seul lololol but the fans weren't pleased because they knew the show was being filmed last minute each week.

it's not very professional and easy way to piss off drama fans, meh. it's really the agency's fault but she should face the blame as well.

This. SFM. Basically their love story is the driving force of this drama, it wouldn't really make sense anymore if he suddenly fell in love w/ Soo Hyun and this won't obviously happen unless idk Jae Hee would try to kill him but I'm pretty sure even then he'd still love her.

Jin Se Yeon is okay, not outstanding but considering her age I found her impressive in Gaksital, though she definitely needs to improve.

people want hoon and soohyun to get together? but...why? idk they have good chemistry i guess, but i can't see it as romantic. i do love their bickering scenes though, i died laughing each time hoon covered his cheeks.

I fucking hate that North Korean motherfucker, I'm so mad he ain't dead. I don't care for Soo Hyeon either, but whatever. I was screaming when Hoon went into that operating room, performed that surgery and then tried to dip, that was surreal. I died tho when they asked Hoon where he was educated, I honestly thought they would try to drag it out for a little longer (not sure how he'd be working there but he has a license so...). And they made a good point about Hoon operating on the PM, I didn't think about like that.
I really like LJS as doctor, I was hesitant about him portraying one at first, but he's just so good.
And Soo Hyeon's a better person than me; when I saw her dying mother laying there I would have beat the shit outta her half-brother, lost my job, and then took his just to spite him. evil bastard.

Actually a korean netizen brought it up in the comments section of one of the DS articles (I noticed because it was a top voted comment), and many Korean netizens replied to him that they have seen doctors wear heels in the hospital... so maybe it is a Korean thing? I dunno.

Of course I also know it is a aesthetic (make actresses legs look nicer) thing.

I ship Kang Sora and LJS. They have more chemistry than LJS and JSY.

I like Jae Hee character and would ship the main couple but the chemistry is my problem, had been another actress that had great chemistry with LJS as Jae Hee, I would be shipping them not Kang Sora and LJS. I have nothing against JSY it is just, imo, she lacks chemistry with her co-stars and she never makes me care about her characters...

I also ship Kang Sora and PHJ ;)

I fcking love Kang So Ra after ep 4, such amazing acting, though I'm not sure about my ships yet. All I know is that Soo Hyun is a captivating character and I want more.

God and Lee Jong Suk your acting is getting better all the time and is now bordering on completely flawless! All the surgery scenes get me so excited wow.

This drama is so great I'm scared if the writers ruin it

I'm glad we are finally up to the present. All those time jumps were confusing. I laugh every time it gets overly dramatic. LJS is killing it as always.
