what is she even doing tho? she can't go on show (or won't? i expected her on wgm global) and she doesn't seem to have any activities lined up in the near future. she only has dancing going on. i really like her and i want to see her on shows but as a standalone i'm not sure where her direction is.
i'm kinda worried for these participants. it's not like they're competing to be placed in a new group -- kara's considered well-known in korea and esp considering kahi's interview (and how hierarchical most of the things in korea are), i'm afraid they might get bullied after going through this painstaking process.

do you mean with international fans or in korea? cause i remember goo hara was a huge hit for kara. i couldn't escape from hara and her apple hairstyle from websites.
i think 3 members can work but 2 of them don't seem like the type to want to carry the weight as a girl group - focus is elsewhere (ie acting, solo appearances).
lol the thumbs down button is disabled. baby kara is such a dumb name. just go with "kara" and stick 1-3 new people in. going through with the auditions is not something a well-established group should do. fans are going to come and go but nonsense like this is going to drive appeal away.
i dont follow kara, but i dont understand why they would need to replace 2 members who left on their own. arent they popular enough to continue as a 3 member group? tvxq did, and i know they cant compare in popularity, but even though their sales went down when jyj left, they are still relevant and doing well. so why cant kara do the same thing?
I don't follow them either, but I have the impression that they've never been nearly as popular in Korea as DBSK. They've done well in general but it seems that where they were (and still are?) really popular it's in Japan. I think they're the most popular Korean girl group there.
yeah, i dont know how they rank now, but they were really popular in Japan for awhile. i remember snsd was getting some backlash from the Japanese public because their performances werent up to par, but i dont remember kara getting anything except for praise.
i just think its pointless to add new members. if theyre going to do a tv show, they should have a documentary series on the 3 of them regrouping and the challenges theyre facing as they plan a comeback. the fans they have will watch it and anticipate their activities and they might get new fans who admire them for going forward, even though itll be hard.
their sales have really dipped post 2012 so i don't think they're as popular there as they once were. their sales in korea in recent years have also been lower, but for a girl group i think they do still have quite a solid fanbase.
i think dsp are scared whether their fanbase will stick with them now 2 members have left. plus, their last single kinda flopped, and the girls had a series of stupid scandals last year that damaged their reputation (they seemed to get quite a lot of negativity thrown at them). dsp won't give up on them bc they are their only cash cow left, but yeah, i think they are keen on reinventing kara and grabbing them back some mainstream popularity, and this is their misguided way of doing it. i don't think they care much about alienating their fanbase, which is unwise imo. ia that they shouldn't add members, and your idea for a reality tv show is awesome. sadly, dsp are morons who always seem to screw over their popular groups.
im not even a fan of theirs, but i feel bad for them >_< i would understand if they were replacing members that left because of known disagreements or in-fighting, but their contracts are up and they both left korea, so it isnt like nicole and jiyeong are joining other companies or groups or something. i dont think its that big of a deal that they left... again, maybe i just dont get it because im not a kara fan though.

really? oh no :( these girls don't deserve hate. tbh i always thought kara fans were a pretty chill lot as far as kpop fandoms go, but i'm probably wrong.

goo hara and jiyoung were replacements, i don't even with dsp but they were on the brink of a break up a few years ago. i don't know why they just don't disband tbh
