Singer Rain, gagman Yoo JaeSeok and actor Bae YongJoon are voted #1 as entertainers with the most influence in different entertainment fields.

A survey was done on 1000 people from 29th July till 12th August on 10 different categories of people for ‘Who are the people who moved Korea? (or influence Korea)’.

Rain was voted #1 under the singer category with 19.9% of the votes. Yoo JaeSeok was voted #1 amongst gagman with 15.2% of the votes, while Bae Young Joon was voted #1 for actors category with 10.5% of the votes.

I think SNSD makes sense with the amount of cfs they've done, the are promotional ambassadors for about everything, and are very active on tv with mcing, acting, and variety.
For those saying DBSK although they're legendary in Korea they don't really actively promote there do they?
For what I understand you can't be in seoul and not have SNSD in your face especially during the Gee era.

lmao snsd is not at all surprising, actually; i'm guessing a lot of international fans don't really get just how incredibly influential they are over there, but their popularity and influence is really no joke. it's rare for idol groups to be influential across multiple generations and genders, but snsd really are known by everyone, not just the young generation and koreans who care about the pop industry. (other idol groups with this kind of influence are big bang, and to a lesser degree, the wonder girls.)

i'm really surprised to see rain ahead of yoo jaesuk, though.

because they were friggin' everywhere starting from the Gee craze.
turn on the tv and it would be amazing for you not to see their faces in it.
dbsk & suju might have the bigger fanbase, the amazing number of album sales (by korean standards), etc.
but tbh, they weren't as 'in your face' as snsd during the first half of 2009.

+ they influenced people & other artists in a way.. "o hay we're the girl group with supposedly rude & untalented members, a racist member, the member who dated all of your oppas, basically the group with the most antis. but guess what.. we didn't give up or go suicidal. we actually made it to the top~"
