Well that's what most fansites actually do. They gather money from all the members of the site (like $5-$20+) and buy stuff with that money. The fansite gifts aren't individual people buying separate gifts.

Or they can do like Taemin -- by writing how he appreciate all those gifts but told his fans that he's not gonna accept the gifts and encouraged them to give that to people who needed it more. I guess if they do it that way, fans have no choice but to use that money for charities instead.

I always wondered whether they actually opened the presents one by one. Like: 'Ok manager, today I will take a whole day leave to open my birthday presents.' Do they actually use all those stuffs? I mean, I hope they actually tell that story on TV so we can actually know how they handle all those fans' gifts.
