Despite what everyone here says about the Sexy/Love Beat mini, MBLAQ has been consistent. Their last album was what got me into their music, and this album is a nice continuation of the last comeback. I might wait and see if there is a repackage before I buy it, though.
same. smokey girl got them inducted to my highly coveted male groups i stan for club. i haven't listened to it yet but i'm like 1000% sure i'll enjoy it
+1 I tried, but the Sexy Beat mini itself is absolutely flawless. Every song included is absolutely wonderful.
I'm starting to feel that although MBLAQ will probably still be recognized as idols, I feel that they are beginning to step foot into the realm of artists.
This album sounds much nicer after a few listens. Personally a grower is a sign of longevity in my eyes. That said, I'll probably forget every song except 12 months in about four weeks or so. The album sounds like something you'd hear in a piano bar or hotel lounge. Which is nice in small doses, but otherwise doesn't leave much of an impact on me.
I guess that's my personal issue with the album. Every single track (especially that intro) is nice and a good listen to, but none of the tracks really does much for me despite sounding nice for a bit. Nothing really stands out to me, but the album is solid. Who knows though? I already like the album more now than when I first heard it.
Still, hope their next album as a bit more variety while retaining a cohesive sound, which can be difficult.
