On last August 14th, DBSK fancafe submitted a prosecution application to Korea Consumer Protection Board with subject ‘The postpone of SMTOWN LIVE ‘09′.

The fancafe explained their background of accusation, “They acted unilaterally in postponing the concert, without consideration and fooling all the consumers who had already bought the concert tickets. Thus, we submitted this application.”

In the statement which DBSK fancafe submitted to Korea Consumer Protection Board, they mentioned, “SMTOWN LIVE ‘09 which is scheduled to be held on August 16th is indefinitely postponed.

The postpone was announced a week ago (August 7th) with the reason that DBSK’s case status will make the whole SM family couldn’t unite in the concert.

However, on August 14th when SM released SMTOWN Summer album ‘09, they promoted the song by stressing it as ‘a song which shows friendship among the young men‘ which shows a whole contradictory.”

DBSK fancafe demanded not only full refund of their tickets, but also 10% admission fee as compensation and official apology from SM Entertainment.

Well, if they don't do this, SM can hold any concert again in future, and stop it after promising there will be no change, don't worry.

if they can't hold the concert because of law condition that made Jaechunsu can't attend the concert, just said it. Don't make lame reason it's because of "afraid DBSK won't give their best quality" because hey... Tohoshinki was the best as always in A Nation.

First, insulting the fans (not only Cassie but also other fanclub of other SM idols) by cancelling the concert is enough reason. Second, have anyone seen the new album of SM Town? It looks cheap, NGL.

Mostly, I feel sorry for 50 foreign fans who tried their best to win SM Town ticket on Youtube. :(

THANK YOU. Download the SMTown "album". That packaging is cheap and insulting. It's like they were literally throwing (not so)shiny to the fangirls just to distract them and get them to shut up for a bit.

future higher ticket prices to recoup the cost...

just remember that all costs are passed on to the consumer no matter what it is that you are buying...

I feel sorry for the all the fans who had tickets, especially the ones coming from abroad.
I can only afford the cheapest non-refundable economy plane ticket and I guess it's the same for most fans :(

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this. Yea the fans suffered losses when the concert was cancelled but im pretty sure SM would have suffered huge losses with all the behind the scenes stuff as well

considering SME's reason, though, I'm not convinced it was necessary to postpone the concert

I guess considering that ticket prices are just a small part of the costs incurred, and that the postponement was so abrupt, a lot of people lost a lot of money.

): not to mention the sheer disappointment they felt. i would've wanted to kick me some ass too. i'm just not sure this was the right way, though it definitely shows how unhappy cass are with sm ent and how far they're willing to go.

well that's a different way to handle it

they're right, though - SME's reason was bullshit and it inconvenienced quite a lot of people. international fans flying in from thailand and all that especially so, because there was hotel and transportation to think of - not to mention those who mighta been working and asked for time off. :/ i'd be upset, too

I agree with you.

Though I understand the the fans were greatly disappointed and sufferred losses (emotionally and financially especially to the oversea's fans who have made logistic pre-payments), topping with SME's rather shady reason, this is a little too much.

Let's just hope this will not make things worse for DBSK or other artist and it actually help.
