I read translated comments on NetizenBuzz about how everyone was complaining about Taeyeon being there, because she was expressionless and looked like she didn't want to be there or just plain rude.... I'm just surprised the people aren't used to Taeyeon, she's always expressionless, it's not something new.

i noticed on several daum cafes and some community sites there seems to be a group of soshi antis who are very set on attacking soshi this comeback. yesterday a shot of sunny's face after 2ne1 won 1st on inkigayo circulated all over the web, describing how bitter she is, but it was very clear that she wasn't looking bitter, just tired, and had that face every time they're about to announce the winners. idk, huge fandom fights ensue of course.

I would say its a stretch to say Taeyeon is always expressionless. Taeyeon has been one of the most active members on variety. But she was the same way last time she was on RS / during IGAB.

Hmmmm, I'd have to disagree with you.... You can rarely get a reaction from her if it's not in a concert... And I get it, she said it before herself... That she feels the happiest when she performs... But whenever she's in events or variety shows... She barely reacts, and maybe because the other members are very active or she's tired or doesn't know what to do.
But there has certainly been a shift in her on screen persona since I'd say The Boys.

Legit sooooooo rude the way they kept ignoring the members there to bring up Soo and Yoona. I felt like the members didn't get to talk enough the hosts went on and on being sketch and unprofessional, it seemed like they were under attack the whole time. That said, Jessica is obviously dating and it seems like Yuri is too. Shame that Hyo wasn't there, she's my bias but she is unquestionably the best at variety tbh and might of lifted the weird atmosphere a bit.

A bit of an uneven episode. Some properly lol bits and some were just boring. I guess I agree with the netizens that the scriptwriters could have done a better job. Returning to the topic of Yoona and Sooyoung's dating even after the intro segment was just awkward.

As for Taeyeon, I thought her randomly bursting into laughter were some of the best moments in the episode.

Ugh, I refuse to watch this show. It's rude af, I hate Kim Gura with the fire of a thousand suns, and it's simply just not entertaining. I do hope the girls appear on more variety shows though, and hopefully get one of their own? ^^

Also, I absolutely love Taeyeon for not caring about this shit show.

ugh, you could see how uncomfortable and nhft when they tried to get them to talk about relationships...Jessica tried to be as honest and safe as possible but they just returned that against her and they wonder why they didn't want to tell all, sighs. Also, Yuri was about to burst, I would've acted just like she did if I were faced with obnoxious MCs like those except I wouldn't hold back as much from losing my shit.

On the plus side, Jessica owned the show and the sass was everything.
As for Taeyeon, I just think she could make an effort to actually pay attention. None of the girls are here for the idol crap nowadays but they've still got a job to do and make some effort.

favorite moment from a radio star appearance like 2 years ago when the mcs used a korean word similar to the meaning of otakus to call sones and taeyeon goes that's not a nice term and obvs the mcs got embarrassed and apologized for using that term lol.

i was not looking forward to this radio star ep precisely bc everyone knew the hosts were gonna grill the members who came for the other members' dating scandals. and their questions literally just rehashed old topics. not looking forward to beatles code either. mildly amused that sica talked a lot tho. basically it was a jeti ft. yuri show.

I really like Tiffany in this comeback. It's true that she's getting smarter and a lot cooler. Hahaha.

The 1st 3rd of the show was really awkward. The MCs were asking about SooNa, and the other 5 girls had to hold back and think hard before answering. I mean, it IS personal questions about other people, they don't know how much they could reveal. But then, this is the concept of the show.

I think the show got more fun after Taeyeon's bouts of laughter about dirty jokes. Hahaha. Too bad the fun members are definitely not going on shows like this. SooNa are avoiding dating questions. And they have to hide Hyoyeon who would spill out secrets. I hope other shows would be fun. I'm not a hardcore SONE, but I love their comebacks because of the stage and the talk shows. :)

these guys are such assholes. this is my first time watching this program, Is that their M.O, amusing themselves by pestering the guests with old gossip? I dunno who the guy is who said "I'm really into journalism, that's why I'm asking" (is that what you tell yourself, dude) but he's a terrible human being. I'm like 15 minutes in and they're still talking about dating rumors, even bringing up the Taecyeon thing from a year ago that Jessica had specifically asked them not to bring up.

Radio Star is a show where most stuff that people deliberately skate around gets brought up (scandals like dating, drunk driving, etc,). In theory it makes for an interesting show sometimes with guests that aren't afraid to retort (the episode with Lee Hyori, SNSD's 2013 episode) or who want their stuff brought up so they can clear the air (Nichkhun with his drunk driving bit), but the new writers are terrible. Their scripts have had the problem of treating girl groups as if their love lives are one of the mooooost important things (like you see here and with the KARA episode, though that had a few other shitstorms too). It's not always this terribly unbalanced (where the dating talk is awkward af and super long) though.

I haven't watched this sequentially, but if you mean the guy second from the left, Kim Gura, he's a terrible person who represents everything wrong with this show and then some IMO. RS isn't always a terrible, vilifying broadcast and sometimes it's honestly entertaining (when Gura's not there).

Edit: of course, this is my opinion. There are a lot of people who absolutely hate RS, and also a lot of people who watch it religiously.

Reading the other comments, I thought it'd be super focused on Yoona and Sooyoung dating, but after watching the whole thing it's not really as bad as people say. Sure that's the big story and in the beginning they kept steering back to the topic but like the MCs said, they mostly focus on the members' thoughts/ feelings when/ how they found out etc etc. They spent almost as much time teasing Kyuhyun about Seohyun so... but then I've actually always enjoyed RS (it's a pity it's not regularly subbed esp when they have a whole variety of guests) so I don't know what that says about me as a person.
