BIGBANG T.O.P’s Solo DVD Ranks No. 1 on Oricon!

According to Oricon chart on March 12, T.O.P’s special edition DVD Doom Dada ranked number one on Oricon’s daily DVD chart on the day of its release.

The DVD contains music videos for Doom Dada and Turn It Up as well as the live performance video forDoom Dada from Tokyo Dome. The DVD also includes the making video for Doom Dada music video, which has never been released before.


Meanwhile, Big Bang’s Taeyang’s Japanese solo album, which was originally planned for release on the same day as T.O.P’s DVD, has been postponed to be released on May 28.

Apparently he's not comf. with (repeated) solo stages, which I assume he'd actually have to DO if he had a full solo album. The ones in the concerts are fine, but all alone? Not our bbs. But it'd sell amazingly well.

He's been working on his solo album for like 3 years or something. YG said back in...fuck...I want to say 2010, yeah because that's when he released Turn it Up, that the general public wasn't ready for his music.

He was supposed to release his solo back then too, that's why Turn it Up happened and then nothing came out of it. Doom Dada was def. testing the water as well. I don't know what exactly YG is looking for. TOP was asked in an interview recently what he preferred, and he said music because he has more freedom. I don't know if it's TOP so much as YG not being comfortable with what TOP does, and Youngbae has said that YG hasn't been comfortable with his music as well, hence no album yet. I think it's YG at this point.

Yeah, I remember Turn It Up. It was 2010. I don't really buy the whole "TOP has no interest in solo work." Fans have said that for years. YG misses the mark with all of their acts, so I don't believe that the issue is totally on TOP.

It's one thing to not want to go on music shows, it's another thing to not want to do music at all when it has come out of his /own/ mouth that he's preparing for his solo album since forever. Once Youngbae and G-Dragon spoke up this year and last,about having to really fight YG to keep their music as is, it should have been a red flag to the YG-lovers. 2ne1 is the prime example.
