Apparently, he's been pretty busy after his contract with Amoeba ended.



Jay Park's company continues to grow and it looks like he he is needing a little help. Over social media today, it seems both Jay and Simon D announced a new change for the company, releasing pics on the AOMG official twitter:


Simon D will be the Co-CEO of AOMG!

Was just thinking he would sign over to them the other day but was never expecting this to happen. This is great since he has an eye for talent.

Really? How come? Is it too "mainstream" (LOL). Even Amoeba was a very mainstream company. I think it's a great move and a perfect fit. Both Jay and Simon straddle that line between the hip-hop world and "idol" world in Korea and live quite comfortably in it. I feel like between the two of them, the music the company puts out is gonna appeal to a lot of people.

Oh, I see..Jay Park is Jay Park, lol. He's a funny guy, I like him. I see nothing wrong with trying out new things within your genre though it's true he's a much better singer than rapper. I guess they say that because of the way he acts but I feel like he's such every-man? He's so normal.

I feel like Jay does. He seemed to be managing himself all this time and judging by all the people he is getting to sign with him he must not be half bad. I think Simon D has some as well. He had a crew in the beginning and I feel like he discovered or helped discover a lot of talent in the hip-hop scene--one bright shiny example is Beenzino. I'm sure they both have a clue on how to maneuver around. I hope they do well.

gaeko lost a lot of his street cred with that diss battle, his reply to esens was embarassing. also dynamic duo was lucky no one made fuss about their half assed military service, they took shitload of leaves (only boom took more at the time).

I was waiting for this post! I feel like this is really big! But at the same time I don't know what exactly it means. I don't know what Jay does as CEO but it could only help to have a respected first underground then mainstream artist (+homegrown Korean vs his Korean-American) as a Co-Ceo. AOMG is already doing really well and doing steady work. I like their artists and producers. I can't wait for Jay's new album as well as releases from Gray, ELO & Crush.

I wonder how amoeba culture feels about this? lol I think Zion.T is the only VV:D member not on AOMG now...

this is a good move on both parts. idk how ppl around here feel about jay but it's very impressive how far he's come, and koreans seem to really like what he does. i just hope this won't mean simon d will stop doing collabs with zion.t :(

I don't see why not. I think they all party together still and the hip-hop community don't keep their features label specific (only doing features with labelmates) like the idol/bigger companies do. I don't think he left Amoeba on a bad note, either. Or I hope not, lol!

the members of AOMG aren't idols so not in competition with Idol companies.
They would be in the line of Jungle Ent which is the BIG hip hop company in s.korea it houses Tiger JK and Tasha. The hiphop scene is just so small that all competition is great. Like Control sparked a good fire where everything was a bit stale.

Tiger JK and Tasha both left Jungle Entertainment last year. They have their own company now with Bizzy.
