Yoo In Na, the new emcee of the beauty program "Get It Beauty", recently discussed her own beauty regimen and how she achieves such flawless skin.

The actress who appeared in the hit drama "You Who Came From The Stars," says that she does not do anything unusual. Her regimen relies on the basics and she rarely sees a dermatologist.

"I use methods that everyone knows about but sticking to a routine can be hard," she said.

Basically, to have radiant skin, you have to be healthy.

"In my experience, drinking only water for two to three days improves your skin," she said. "Also, I rarely eat white rice. I do eat cabbage often since I like it."

To keep her figure she avoids snacking at night.

Most k-drama actresses use the basics to keep their skin in top form.

Ha Ji Won, who stars in "Empress Ki," has skin looks flawless despite punishing filming schedules. When asked about her beauty routine, she said that it's very important to let skin breathe. It's especially important for actresses who often have to wear a lot of makeup. On set, whenever she is not shooting, she removes her makeup to give her skin a rest. She also eats a lot of vitamin-rich fruit.

Song Hye Kyo, the star of "That Winter The Wind Blows," drinks plenty of water and enjoys a daily facial mask. Facial masks don't have to be expensive to be effective. Mixing an egg white with unprocessed honey makes a great mask. Apply the mask, wait for it to dry and wash it off. You can also use honey to brighten your skin. Every two weeks, massage one part honey and two parts water into your skin.

Yoon Eun Hye, the star of "Missing You" and "Future's Choice," slathers on plenty of moisturizer. She once said that she puts on three times the recommended amount of moisturizer before she goes to bed and it works really well. She also drinks hot milk before bed because a good night's sleep can help you look your best.

Lee Min Jung, now starring in "Cunning Single Lady," is also a fan of facial masks, but she once told an interviewer that her real beauty secret was laughing. If you are happy and relaxed it will show on your face.

Lee Na Young is very careful to use sunscreen every time she goes out. Sun exposure creates wrinkles. She drinks water instead of juice or soft drinks and eats plenty of seasonal fruits and vegetables, which are rich in vitamins.

Yoo In Na has invited several celebrities, including her "You Who Came From The Stars" co-star Jun Ji Hyun, to share their secrets on her "Get It Beauty" program. If Jun Ji Hyun shows up, fans can learn what basics she used to make her skin seem so flawless.

"but she once told an interviewer that her real beauty secret was laughing. If you are happy and relaxed it will show on your face." :| still doesn't give me clear skin

But ia honey is amazing. I put a drop of tea tree oil in honey and use it as a mask and it gets rid of redness and just makes your face feel really nice and smooth.

I've never thought honey would be so amazing! it's crazy how it can help different skin problems, from acne to wrinkles. and the fact that it is natural totally convinced me. I even use some on my legs sometimes because my veins are very visible so I put some honey where it's the most ugly and it helps. I know some people use it for their hair but I didn't like it, it was too sticky ^^

As someone with bad skin who has tried everything in the past I only have one answer to why they have such beautiful skin.. good genetics.
I seriously tried everything in the past and nothing worked, I take pills now (minocycline) and they help a lot, my skin is almost flawless now yeah.. But as soon as I stop taking them, it starts all over again.

I swear by:
being well hydrated
cetaphil sensitive skin; cleansing wash
complex 15 daily face cream (AMAZING and realllllly affordable my mom has used it since she was in her early 30's)
and oatmeal and skim milk to exfoliate once every couple of weeks
(I have reallly annoyingly sensitive skin so I can use drugstore exfoliaters and I am
too poor to buy the expensive kinds)
Also steaming your face once a month

But most importantly eating healthy and getting a lot of sleep helps too. The last couple of months I've been eating really shitty and a lot of ramyun (university life mang) and I've broken out a bit so it's an incredibly huge factor.

But you're supposed to use milk with fat in it for oatmeal masks? The fat is what makes it moisturizing.

as someone who's never had clear skin since puberty, i think most acne came from
1. genetics 2. hormones (can also be genetics) 3. inflammation

the first 2 are kinda hard to treat cos it's mostly down to how your body naturally works. most you can do is minimize the third cause. eating healthy really helps. find out things that you're allergic to whether you knew it or not. most ppl are sensitive to dairy (cow hormones!), wheat/gluten and most of all sugar. i find if i consciously eat less sugar&plain carbs my skin looks better in general. taking probiotics (koreans eat lotsa kimchi which is a probiotic rich food) & eating more fibers/veggies also helps a lot, since clean digestion also means less toxins in your system that can cause breakouts. drink water, sleep regularly and light exercise helps

topically i usually try to use honey mask daily, and lately found this one serum that really helps. it's called Benton snail bee essence, a korean product. i've been using it consistently for a month and i actually dont have active acne now, not even when i had my period which usually led to breakouts. it got really good ingredients, no funky chemicals. i dont usually trust commercial product but this is highly recommended

i recently looked into food that causes inflammation to try a detox, bc i heard it can be anti-depressive, but i didn't know those kinds of foods also caused acne. do you know how to tell if you're sensitive to the foods? i mean, like, if there is no allergic reaction or anything, and intake doesn't always immediately cause break outs?

i think what it comes down to is drinking lots of water and eating clean. moisturizing is also pretty important, and letting your skin breathe. if you enjoy wearing a lot of make-up like i do, it's a must to remove it thoroughly and as often as possible.

i used to rely solely on cleansing foams/scrubs in the morning, but i have really oily skin and my condition was still pretty bad. i recently started a cleanser/toner/moisturizer routine in the morning and at night (oil free products), sometimes adding facial masks at night, and my condition improved so drastically at first, i went out of the house w/o make-up for the first time in like 10 years lol. but then i broke out again before my period and i haven't been able to have clear skin since. but i haven't been drinking enough water, so that might be it.

but yoo inah saying that drinking /only/ water for 2 to 3 days helps....

I just let my milias disappear with time because milia removal is quite pricey lol

though I plucked one once because I got curious but it kinda leaves a hole on my face and I freaked out but the hole disappeared thank god

drinking only water for two to three days improves your skin,
idk if she emant only drinking water for multiple day and nto coffee or soda but if they meant only consuming water than NO.NO.

i have terrible skin, its mixed with sensitive plus i have really shallow veins and i look super red all the time. not to count blavkheads and all kinds of acne.
one thing that really helped me and makes me look okay these days is step-by-step routine every morning and evening. i wash my face with facial brush and it helped me reduce blackheads a bit, but you have to be careful with it, i once burned my skin... i learned that using toner after washing with harsh products helps keep skins ph and i can see the difference, applying it before serum/moisturiser makes my skin more prepared for it. plus i try to wash my face with toner everytime im back home from going out, so the dust etc wont clogg my pores. also gel creams with snail filtrate do wonders. i used the mizon one and it was great but i switched to purebess one and its better imho.
im only 20 but i recently started using a serum with high concentrate. of hialuronic acid. i have wrinkles already (genetics...) and using this thing twice a week helps, my skin is kinda streched but i can feel its moisturised better.

people living in dry climates should be careful about using hyaluronic acid. it's a humectant, meaning it attracts water to the surface of the skin. if you live somewhere humid, it gets water from the air. but when the air is dry, it gets water from the deeper layers of your skin, which may cause dehydration and makes your skin actually drier inside. also, use only in small concentrations

Yoo in nah has filler lips, so I know the doctor is keeping her young. The water thing is only true if your diet is shit to begin with and you weren't keeping hydrated. I heard it won't make a difference unless you are dehydrated. Also food allergies. So many people are allergic to certain nuts, fruits and diary and don't even know it. My friend was making shakes every morning with all sorts of things (but organic), and she started getting cystic acne.

Also piling on a million things on your face can be counterproductive because certain acids etc can end up canceling the effects of vitamins and antioxidants in other creams. There is also no point in washing your face more than once or twice a day if that. When you are sleeping you are not being exposed to the environment. You can end up making your oily skin oilier, and your dry skin dryer.

At the end of the day genetics plays the main part.

When I was a teenager, my skin looked horrible. I ran from one dermatologist to another, but nobody could help me. When I was around 18, I started to care for my skin myself. I found out what my skin type is (very dry and sensitive) and now that I'm 21, I can say that I'm pretty happy with how my skin looks like.
My only "secret" is to stay hydrated. I take a water bottle with me, wherever I go and I also drink a lot of green and ginger tea (I think that's the reason why I hardly get any pimples or redness anymore!). I never liked sweets very much (except ice-cream XD) and I'm a veggie, so I also eat very healthy (mainly fish, fruits, vegetables, rice and soya products).
I also have some trusted skincare products (all Korean brands, because they're the best! <3) and they help me a lot too. A peeling followed by a facial mask does wonders, when my skin looks tired from work on some days.

I think it's the right mix of diet, exercise and life style that will give you good skin.

The only thing that works for my face when it gets super dry (and starts peeling) is using First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Cream. I also use cold aloe vera gel on days where my face feels really tight and dry because of the heat.

I've had no skin care routine for the past two years after suffering from a mild (but still annoying) case of adult acne and my skin has cleared right up but i now i want to do something to maintain my skin's current condition. Definately gonna give the egg white+honey mask a try.

I've done just about everything for the past eight years and it's not till I changed my dermatologist for the fourth time that something changed. This one decided that my all doctors were spitting BS about not wanting to give me pills and I've been on them for almost two months. My face is now almost completely clear, with the only exception of one or two pimples before my menstruation. Next on the list is treating the acne scars, but I'm so happy I finally got better.

This is all to say that all of that is really great and I'm sure it helps some people, but some others will never get rid of it with healthy habits. Been there, done that, didn't work. I'm not even eating the healthiest atm (though I do try, always do) because uni life and money, and I'm better than I have ever been. So yeah, I highly recommend everyone to keep a healthy diet and healthy sleeping habits BUT not to get frustrated if that doesn't help. For some of us is just harder :|

That said, tea tree products did help me before changing dermatologists :)

ugh, I've been through so many pills so many times - all with different strengths - and they just haven't worked, and a lot have made me really sick.
nearly fifteen years after I first mentioned the problem to my doctor, he's /finally/ referring me to a dermatologist, but looking at a couple of comments on here, I think I may have to find out if I have any allergies too. I never even knew about that being able to affect your skin :/

The tip about letting your skin breathe is a good one. Wash your face clear of make-up daily too, even if it looks like it's all rubbed off or gone/faded. (apparently it ages you 2-3 days) But yeah, the make-up is always still there if you don't cleanse after wearing it, so it block up your pores.

The biggest issue with my skin is hormonal acne. I just started taking a new supplement this week that's supposed to work wonders in clearing it up. It's called Vitex Agnus Castus. Have any of you heard of it/tried it? I have a few more pimples than normal at the current moment, but I think when you first start taking a supplement like that it's normal for things to get a little crazy before they clear up. I've also started to try oil pulling. Has anyone tried that? That's "supposed" to clear up acne also.

Another problem for me is oil based moisturizers. I'm using up what I have now but after that I plan to switch to just water based moisturizers.

I want to try to start to do more of the natural face masks like the honey and egg white ones. I have plenty of sheet masks, but since it's been so cold lately the thought of putting one on my face has been kind of a terrifying thought! I do a hair mask twice a month that I make with mayonnaise, eggs, olive oil, and honey. That's been working wonders!

Besides that I get a decent amount of sleep each night, drink water/green tea throughout the day, and I get a pretty decent amount of fruits/vegetables in my diet and I don't eat a ton of carbs. I'm hoping the Vitex really works because I would love to have flawless skin!

I'm taking vitex too! I've been taking it since Jan and I've noticed my skin breaks out less and the pimples are usually smaller. It's supposed to be a long-term gradual change I've heard so I'll have to stick with it longer to see if it gets rid if my acne completely.

This winter has been really hard on my skin all over not just my face. So I've deep into repairing night creams, moisture masks and coco butter and coconut oil for my face.
Still heavy in the snail masks and gels I do those about 1 week and a clay mask once a month. 2-3 times a year season changes I do a apple peel, not to harsh just over the counter Juice Beauty peel.

coconut oil is a BIG help for moisturizing even without being oily! I use it every night, because I sleep with the ac on, so there goes the dryness. But I woke up amazingly with a soft face and I looovveee it. Too bad I cant use it for the day routine cus the oil might attract all those dust from outside, hence more breakouts.

My skin was really angry for the last year or so and wouldn't subside. I went to see two derms who prescribed hormone medication and pharmaceutical skin care e.g. differin. It wasn't suitable for me and really dried up my skin and it still wouldnt subside.

Recently, I was diagnosed with hyperthyroid (I didnt know before)- which i think triggered the crazy unrelenting acne during the past year.

I went to a new derm (i wanted one who produces their own products). I'm now on an anti biotic called Doxycycline to reduce the redness, and i use their in-house products. Its only been a month and i can see some results. Not yet perfect but the progress is good.

I cant use many products because I have very sensitive skin and am allergic to alcohol in my skin care. I break out big big time for anything with the slightest bit of alcohol.

My current routine:
Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil (best cleansing oil ever!)
DR-X Chira Wash
DR-X Toner (Alcohol free, Glycolic and Salicylic Acid to cleanse. Plus Allantoin for moisture)
DR-X Comedone Formula (Reduce/dissolves comedone and sebum)
DR-X Blemish Formula
DR-X Max-C (Antioxidant, Vitamin C)
Sunscreen SPF 30 (I work indoors)

I don't have to use a moisturizer because somehow the products maintains a decent level of moisture.

Before this, I've used many products. Now I read ingredient labels very carefully and test patch. I would advise to use products with no fragrance, no alcohol, parabens etc if you have skin issues. My favorite brands are Dermedex, Curel, Belif, Avene. Moisturizers should be water based. I really liked Laneige but some of their products have alcohol :( :( :(

General care advice from my derm: ALWAYS make sure your skin has moisture and use sunscreen. The rest depends on your skin type/issues.

you're not going to get rid of acne unless you manage your thyroid issues first (been there done that). i was on PTU for 2 years and while i was using it my skin was clear, but my weight went up drastically since my metabolism was being repressed =_= having hyperthyroid sucks

I'm starring a semi-"natural" face cleansing for the past few weeks and although there were some breakouts (which I realized came from the food I ate-ramyun,dairy,etc plus I was lazy for a few days), it turned out okay-ish. I meant okay-ish cuz it's been only a few weeks and because it's semi-natural, the change is not instant and may take a while.

I cleanse my face with the cleansing milk (if I have no/little makeup on that day) or with face cleansing oil (when I have some/thick makeup on) first and swap it with cotton sheets. Then rinse my face with warm water once-twice (gettin that grease from the cleansing milk/oil off). After that I wash my face with honey + baking soda + tea tree oil and slightly scrub it on my face (not too hard or I just harm the skin and get redness) for around 30-60 seconds, then rinse it clean. I try not to dry my face au naturale, aka not wiping it with towel. Maybe tissue some times, but I don't like how sometimes it left some residue on my face. I like feeling my face after this routine because it feels sooooo soofftt.

I have another routine after this and I usually do it before to bed, but it's optional. For a night moisturizer, I put virgin coconut oil (VCO) mixed with tea tree oil and apply it moderately on my face like a toner, then massage my face with it. I woke up with a soft face, moisturized. Usually I wash my face with the honey+baking soda+tea tree oil scrub again, put on my daily toner and moisturizer (not the vco one), sunscreen, then finish it with BB cream. Makeup is optional LOL.

I see people here that uses Tea tree products and it worked for their acne. I used The Body Shop and Lush's tea tree toner, and the skinfood tea trea and lavender foam cleanser but it does nothing for me. I am going to south korea in a few months, and I was wondering if you have any other products or korean brands you would recomment for dry and acne-prone skin?

i dunno about acne prone skin, but for dry skin, I would go to Nature Republic and get one of the Aqua moisturisers (you use it last thing in your nightly facial routine and i swear my skin feels like magic) OR they have a new line out that focuses on 'steam cream' and it works quite well too (plus on the lid you get Kim Taeyeon's signature along with a cute drawing so if you're an snsd fan that's cute I guess)

i'd actually love to have recommendations for dealing with dry, flaky skin. i've always been really bad about skincare, but lately i've been trying my best to remember to exfoliate and moisturize, but it's been doing nothing for me =___=

I understand how you feel. No matter how much moisturizer I put on, it just doesn't help. Even worse, I start breaking out when I moisturize my skin. Sigh. It's like no in-between but just two extremes I get :(
