Kyuhyung and Onew to lead "Singing in The Rain" (an SM production)

SM Entertainment is broadening their scale as one of the dominating company to spread pop culture to date. SM Entertainment's subsidiary, SM Entertainment Culture & Content (SM C&C), is going to start its own full-scale musical production by buying the rights to produce the musical 'Singin' in the Rain'.

The musical is scheduled to be presented starting on June 5 to August 3 in Grand Theatre at Chungmu Art Hall in Seoul. SM revealed, "We are reviewing the appearances of Super Junior's Kyuhyun and SHINee's Onew as the leading cast. Kyuhyun has already appeared in musicals such as 'The Moon That Embraces the Sun' and 'Catch Me If You Can'. Also, Onew who has experience in musical 'Rock of Ages."

SM is planning to put up more musicals in the future having idols like Super Junior, SHINEe, TVXQ, SNSD, and popular idols as lead to expand their career as celebrities.

SJ, SJ-M and Henry big winners on IFPI Awards

Group SuperJunior, SuperJunior M, and Henry achieved remarkable record of winning awards from Hong Kong ‘International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)’.

In the ceremony of ‘IFPI Hong Kong Top Sales Music Awards’ held in March 1 at 8:00 pm (local time), SuperJunior, SuperJunior M, and Henry were received ‘The top sales album’.

SuperJunior won the album by ‘SUPER JUNIOR WORLD TOUR SUPER SHOW4′ live album, SuperJunior M was by ‘Break Down-Korean Ver.’ and Henry won by the first mini album ‘Trap’, confirming their hottest popularity in Hong Kong.

Heechul to appear on TVN new drama “Grandfather over flower”

Drama will air on TvN in May. It will be a comical mystery/investigation drama.
The drama will be about grandfathers in 60•70s, who have hidden their past and are living as package delivery man.
Heechul(31), Lee SoonJae(79), Byun HeeBong(72), and JangGwang(62) will be the cast. Articles don't have infos of heechul`s role yet

Super Junior’s Kim Heechul will be joining veteran actors Lee Soon Jae, Byun Hee Bong, and Jang Kwang for the upcoming tvN drama, “Grandpas over Flowers Investigation Unit.” In regards to the casting, a representative expressed, “Kim Heechul will show his energy as he acts with veteran actors. He has a great desire to try a new challenge as he works with the veterans.”
“Grandpas over Flowers Investigation Unit” will focus on the past lives of grandpas who currently work at a delivery service. The comedic investigative drama will show three elderly delivery men working with one young worker, displaying a format similar to the variety show, “Grandpas over Flowers.” As Lee Soon Jae will act as Go Kang San, a former traffic officer who now runs the delivery service, the drama will be filled with comedic moments as the young worker played by Kim Heechul will try and adjust working with the three other grandpas.
In the past, Kim Heechul made his acting debut through “Banolim 2” back in 2005 and has diligently cultivated his acting resume. We can’t wait to see this new combination of actors, as tvN dramas never disappoint. The drama, “Grandpas over Flowers Investigation Unit” will broadcast starting in May.

Oh, no, no worries -- for a second I was wondering if he'd gone back to being the poster child for heroin chic and was like 'no, that's not feasible' lmao. He does look 'smaller', if that makes sense. It kind of looks like he's drowning in the sweater a bit, and it's not even overly-sized (the sleeves fit him lengthwise). It's from the New Year's stuff, right? I think he's gotten a bit back to normal now.

Also this is really random, but you're sort of Kyu-biased right? .__. I'm like 99.999% sure I see you in Kyu posts...forgive me if I'm mistaken! If EXO's coming back in April, what are the odds of the elusive Kyu solo existing? ;__;

Yeah, I swear Mi looks bigger in that photo than he usually ever does (and I never really thought I'd be saying Mi of all people was big, lmao).

Oh, it's good to know I wasn't mistaken LOL. And yeah, it's scheduled for May and the sentimental part of me is wondering whether it'll happen on his debut anniversary. EXO wouldn't have anything to mess around with it unless they do follow-up promotions :x but considering the fact that SM hasn't said anything about it...

I just think about all the breadcrumbs surrounding it and I come up with a full piece of toast. SM said to expect a couple of surprises this year (and that's not including ToHeart, since they released the interview after), plus MNet had Kyuhyun's name in their May releases (which doesn't say anything about when it'll come out more than the fact that it could/will at some point, because they're nowhere near affiliated with SM). Even more on today's episode of RS -- they had at least one guest who was a songwriter, and Yoon Jong Shin said 'since Kyuhyun is collecting songs, maybe you guys should talk? Your song style and his vocals would go really well together!'. Kyuhyun said something about exchanging numbers after the recording (and then Jongshin was like 'if it works out, I get a 15% cut!', lmao). Between that and the Starcast BTS where he was bugging Jongshin himself for a song (and that totally random Yiruma news that came out of left field), I...I have many hopes and they are pinned on this one piece of hay in a needlestack :(

After Swing finishes though, what else will he be doing? He should only be doing RS in terms of idol-ing, afaik (unless rehearsals for that god-awful SM musical have already begun, ugh), and between that and grad school, maybe prepping for a solo wouldn't be that bad...? Or is he still re-re-re-re-reprising TTM? (Incidentally, I backtracked to one of his first solo interviews; the idiot laughs and says in there that he doesn't want to continue studying. Fastforward a few years and see where we are -__- multiple promotions and then graduate school simultaneously...) I actually don't know how he functions, let alone has energy to even do fun stuff on his days off.

I have renewed hopes now and that makes me sad :( and no, don't worry, I wrote you a longer essay x__x (but why were you up that late?!) I have too many feelings surrounding this considering it has zero official news tied to it. /sigh
