Hows everyone doing?
I have my last exam (in winter semester) today and I'm sure I'm destined to fail :/ Im still not done with huge assigment for it, eh. I hate the idea of repeating semester but I guess I won't avoid it...
I dislike when people tell me to stop worrying as 'the world aint gonna end because of your failed exam'. Well, Ill lose a year because Im a dumb laxy ass. Eh. And everyone of my friends always tell me how much they envy me going to a film school... Maybe direction or dp course is fun but this one is hell. This one lecturer is super petty and expects us to learn everything about movies. He expects a lot on exams that are one on one and he asks you shit for up to 2h. I wish someone warned me when I entered this major.

I'm curious about what you mean by wishing someone warned you? I'm actually thinking of doing film major/film school. From your comment though it doesn't seem like it's something I should go into? :O

Is there a reason why you wanted to go into film? Like you want to be a director?

Anyone stuck at a job they don't like?

I don't have a job yet but I'm applying for one that I'm not really passionate about, but I just need the money. My whole family is putting in effort to help me and their reputations are on the line so if I fail I'm gonna jump off a cliff or something... -__- I've been losing so much weight and breaking out everywhere from the stress

What I really want is to take an internship related to my passion but it's unpaid and will take a lot of sacrifice on my part. Sigh.

I know I should be so grateful, because there are so many people out there without jobs and there's no guarantee of me getting this job in the first place, but it's just not what I really want.

Sorry for the negativity in this post but life has been so weary for me lately

I don't want to be negative either... but between family health issues and my job and the weather, it's been rough. I wish I had friends who were more adventurous. I would love to go eat Korean and sing karaoke. Or maybe I just wish I had a car and could drive it. I believe in internet friends, but when I'm at a bar or a restaurant on my iPod or my phone reading Twitter... I'm really just alone, aren't I?

I'll leave it at that.

I've been so tired lately orz the last week I get home from school, nap, eat dinner, take a shower then sleep. I want to know why I've been this tired ._.

KPOP discovery and journey

If I remember correctly I think this year marks my 10 years of being into kpop which to me is crazy. Its mindblowing that Ive been into kpop this long. The kpop scene has changed so much since 2004. Many groups and artists have risen to popularity and fallen and literally disappeared from kpop altogether. It is really hard to really reminisce when so many new groups debut every year. It already hard enough to keep up much less look back and think about the artists that have come and gone and changed.

So my question to everyone is are there any artist that you miss or wish were popular again?
For me I would really like to see 8eight again. It was not until like this week that I remember its been forever since they released anything. I also really miss se7en. I hate that he had to have a scandal that could potentially ruin his reputation altogether. For me, being a yg stan started with him. To this day I still believe he was one of the most talented artist yg has had. Honestly, thinking back to career at its peak it just makes me sad :((

Another question is when and how did people get into kpop?
Me it started with Boa's Every Heart ( since I was into anime and jpop). From there, I crossed over I began to discover other korean artists.

I took a World Music class in collage in spring 2008 and a peer did Kpop for their final project. At that time I was still mildly into Jpop and anime, but I liked what Kpop I heard. (The awesomeness of his presentation may have had something to do with it and my shock to learn that BoA was Korean.) I didn't become a huge fan right away, and I don't remember why, but I guess DBSK (Purple Line era) impressed me the most from the presentation and I ended up watching old episodes of them on Heroine 6 and laughing my head off. I was also a big Twilight fan at the time and the first movie was coming out, so I think that's why I didn't become a Kpop fan at the time. I'm a tad disappointed about that because I could have been around for Mirotic promotions.

Flash forward to spring 2009 and I was dog/house sitting while my family was on vacation for Spring Break. For whatever reason I think I started researching my about Kpop/Korean culture. (My interest had been growing by that point.) I marathoned Coffee Prince and became a Cassie during that week. I've been a member of Omona and a Kpop/Korean culture stan ever since. ^__^

P.S. My Kpop fandoms would include Cassiopeia, KISSME (Pops in Seoul in 2010 drew me in), Lukie (I joined...in April).

I just back from the film and ALL MY FEELS. I read the book years ago, fell in love with it, bought myself both the English and German versions, and have given my soul to it ever since. Those little kids were so perfect though.
