‘Mr.Mr.’ Earns All-Kill on Korean Music Charts and Tops iTunes in Multiple Countries:

Within 24 hours of its release, Girls’ Generation’s newest mini album, “Mr.Mr.”, has achieved the top spot on multiple Korean music sites. “Mr.Mr.” ranked first on the MelOn (shown above), Bugs!, Mnet, Olleh, Genie, Naver, Monkey3, Soribada, and Daum Music music sites (shown below, respectively), thus achieving an all-kill.

“Mr.Mr.” was also the number one album on iTunes for 11 countries around the world: Taiwan, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Japan. It ranked first for Canada iTune’s pop albums and came in second for the top US iTunes pop albums, placing sixth most popular US album overall.





The physical “Mr.Mr.” mini album will go on sale starting February 27th. Watch out for the girls’ first comeback performance, scheduled for March 6th on Mnet’s “M! Countdown”.

Mr Mr isn't a bad song, I think people are reaching with some of the criticisms. I mean look at their previous releases, Oh, Hoot, The Boys, IGAB, all of them were underwhelming. I mean their last release I fell in love with was RDR and probably Chocolate Love lol.

I think comparing to their previous songs MR MR is better but the issue is the song itself has no impact. IGAB for all it's nonsense had alot of energy and made an impression, this song just sounds dated. But it'll live and die on the MV and the lives, I hope the lives are good and Yuri brings it. Atleast the song is abit of a jam.

I actually like Mr. Mr. It's not as "memorable" as other song they made, but it's jam worthy. And definitively better than The Boys in my opinion (I Got a Boy is a different story, I love this song to bits but I don't know how "good" it is lol)

So happy for the All-kill and for the #1s and for ranking high on so many iTunes charts around the world! especially proud that they were #1 in my country, i was so surprised when i saw it, so i hope that's enough to bring them here on their next tour, also wishing they get good physical sales :) i already ordered mine.

Mr.Mr. has grown on me a lot, the chorus is very catchy and got stuck in my head after a few listens, so i'm really enjoying the song and can't wait for the video!

My only complaint is SM and their incompetence and mistakes, but after all i'm glad to see it didn't affect their digital sales.

they've had 3 roof hits without a MV and 0 promotion, they're slaying international charts which speaks more to their influence than anything in Korea ever will, they're gonna own in physical sales, etc. etc.

People looking at netizen comments to gauge anything literally have no idea what they're talking about when it comes to SNSD

I'm here for everything this era is choosing to be, I love the song and the mini, and I think it will have a lot of longevity :)

slay tbh, mr.mr was alright at first listen but then i listened to it more in the background whilst i was doing work and it grew on me although i still prefer to listen to sunmi and even girls day even thought they released their song like 2 months ago lol

yeah, ia. i hope the mv slays (i'm dying to see the dance break - hyo in the centre pls). i think the song is gr8 (grows on you so fast) but kpop is the whole package - song, visuals, choreography. i think the song will make more of an impact with the mv/lives and people will like it more.

The Mini is pleasant and consistent with their image. Pretty, feminine and chill. I guess when ppl call it dated I don't have anything to compare it to? At this point its not about the Girls* but SM not giving them the material you want. I don't even know what that is lol. The negativity is so extra though lol.

*they're also rly complacent and won't fight for good material or control so. I don't even think their personal tastes would suit the group as a whole? More subunits and stuff then. SunSic / SooHyoYul?

none of them really have make up on their eyes and it was their style in 2007. I remember a picture from Sooyoung at the airport without make up on her eyes and she looked like a totally different person. Yoona too in a recent photoshoot looked like back in the debut days. strangely I think it depends on the camera as well...
to be honest I'm confused because I convinced myself that they all did plastic surgery and even if I still think it's true it could be less that we thought ^^
