With much talk around a viral Facebook post that tainted his image, MR.MR’s Hon announced that he will be leaving the group.

On February 24, Hon left a post on MR.MR’s official fan café, announcing his departure.

Introducing himself with his real name, Yoo Seung Jun, Hon apologized firsthand for the negative issues that have been floating with his name. He personally explained his relationship with the woman, who wrote up the Facebook post, and insisted that the post was not factual with no sex tapes and such existing.

I have no wishes to sue an old friend. I don’t believe she ruined my life either. If those words were true, I would have been embarrassed, but I haven’t lived my life that embarrassingly,” wrote Hon.

But due to this issue, it’s true that MR.MR received a lot of scars on its image. So I decided to leave the group.”

He added that each member of the group were amazing people, who are like his family and friends.

He thanked his fans and promised to continue supporting MR.MR.

His agency, Winning Insight M, stated that Hon’s contract with the company will continue and it will support Hon in his future activities as a soloist.

[Fancafe: From. Hon] Hello

Hello. This is Yoo Seung Jun.

First of all, I apologize for introducing you to unpleasant affairs.
Also through this embarrassing story I’ve caused a lot of worry.
Once again, I want to write and convey my personal apology.

I apologize for causing worry and disappointment through this controversy.
The support of MISOs gave me a lot of strength. Thank you.

Although it’s true that Bitna, who wrote the controversy-causing post, and I have had a close relationship since long ago
I want to definitely convey that the contents of the post, like that I was doing work related to a host bar, that I had a money problem, that a video exists, or that we were lovers, are all false.

Some hours after she wrote the posts while drunk, Bitna called me and said she’d made a mistake.
Since Bitna wrote the post in a personal space, I didn’t think there would be any problem, so I told her not to worry and hung up.
However, that post was captured and slowly spread out to create a controversy.

We had a close relationship to the point where even on the day when Bitna was receiving surgery in order to begin her life as a woman, I was by her side protecting her.
I too understand how upset Bitna must have been when, after I became involved with becoming a singer, I was negligent and rarely contacted her.

To the MISOs who believed in me, worried for me and supported me, I personally said that I wasn’t the person in the post, I thought this was the best plan for the MISOs who believed in me.

I have no thoughts of wanting to sue an old friend.
I also haven’t thought of Bitna saying she ruined my life.
If that post was true, I would be embarrassed, but I haven’t lived my life like that so I’m not.

However, though this incident, I thought that MR.MR’s image was hurt because of me.
So I have decided to withdraw from MR.MR.

Each member of MR.MR is a great friend.
Through this incident I’ve caused a lot of anxiety but more than anyone else they are my friends and family who believed in me.

For the sake of the members, I will withdraw from the MR.MR that has this kind of members who have been covered in scars because of me.

I hope that MR.MR will no longer be hurt because of this incident.

In the future I will sincerely support MR.MR.

Also, I truly love and am thankful to MISOs.

I wonder if they are excited to have an SNSD song with the same name as their group name..and its not surprising he left.

I knew this would happen. I don't know what to make of his letter but I'm just glad they're back to being the flawless 5. Please WIM I beg of you to not add anymore members T_T

I was so close to stanning Hon based on this tweet alone too...

"I was on my way home when I saw a group of middle school kids harassing a street cat. I don’t know what happened to the cat but it looked like it was limping, so in a calm voice I shouted “What are you doing”! Worn out, I made my way to the shops; after getting SPAM (canned meat) from the convenience store, I gave the cat a little bit and made my way home again! Errr… those bad kids, I resisted turning around at those kids hanging out in the middle of the night!"

Aww, cute. He seems like a nice guy and all but MR.MR really didn't need a new member even when Jiwon couldn't join.

Wonder if he's leaving by choice or by force from the company? He's done nothing wrong and his friend did admit that everything she wrote was a lie, so I don't see how he could further "harm" the group unless they're taking issue with the fact that he has a transgender friend.

From: [identity profile] boiinks2.livejournal.com
Based on some of the comments in previous posts, some people don't buy that the friend's post was a lie and that she's backtracking to cover her ass from any legal repercussions. People are going to believe whatever they want to believe and so his membership status in the group might have some influence on how long this scandal follows the group.

From: [identity profile] obviousgirl.livejournal.com
Well since he got kicked out it's doubtful that the scandal will linger with them. I will never understand destroying someone's career over money before they even get famous enough to have some money worth destroying them for.

You say that but one of the reasons Coed fans think the group never had a comeback before splitting into subgroups (for good) is because they were still known as the group that had had the rapist in it long after Kangho left.

She really admited that everything was a lie and now his career is ruined because of that lie? She's a disgusting person tbh.

He was kicked out of the group. MR.MR is still not that popular to the point where they will protect the members...although they ARE gaining more fans. The problem is that Hon's presence within the group is not that visible...so losing him is affordable to the company. They cannot afford any scandals at this stage of their career since they are finally gaining momentum.

So anyway, I don't think the company paid the girl off then...'cuz if they decided to kick him off the team anyway, why would they spend money?

it's kinda sad that how people's ugly past becomes a hinder in their future's career......... I hope he really can get a second chance to pay back what he's losing. A past cannot be fixed, but he deserves to get a new life.

Too bad he wasn't able to really be a part of the group, but MR.MR didn't need another member anyway. As much as Jiwon seemed to be a talented rapper.

Let them stay as 5.

Anyway, they appear to be recording right now judging by this cute Instagram post by Jin:

I kinda wished they came back before SNSD managed to release their single. lol

Yeah, I guess they were in the studio recording.

After SM delayed SNSD's album and then the whole scandal popped up, I really was hoping MR.MR would squeeze in a new song before SNSD finally released Mr.Mr. so Jin's post got me really excited lol

Not necessarily.

A lot of people were already speculating that this "Bitna" person just felt abandoned after Hon joined MR.MR and of course didn't spend time with or contact her as much. And if she had feelings for him, then it added to her frustration. That's seems to be gist of her retraction and now Hon's letter if either or both are to be believed.

I guess I missed Mr.Mr. even had a new member. It's unfortunate it ended with him leaving, but it may be fortunate that everything ended like this. Honestly, I think that friend's post was a lie. I say that because of how Hon addressed her and the situation. Admitting to knowing her, but not throwing her under the bus, and also saying that they are still friends is nothing to scoff at. It would be easy to put all the blame on one person or publicly shame them, but he never did that. His replies seemed very open and honest (though I will say I wouldn't be surprised if he worked at a host bar and/or dated the friend and just wanted to protect his privacy.) I hope he'll be able to pursue the career he wants without hindrance in the future.

Maybe I'm watching too much House of Cards but I suspect some shenanigans here. Some kind of deal was made. I have a hard time believing that the decision was entirely of his own volition and had nothing to do with the company. And the girl's quick retraction is sketch as hale, too. We will never know the whole story but this was a damn mess.

I hope MR.MR doesn't add any more new members, especially since Hon didn't even really do anything during the last comeback.

Suspicious all around. I feel like if the claims weren't really true, then the company is throwing him away because they think he's dispensable. But if the post was true, then there were threats/payoffs involved, and the company is still throwing him away because he's a horrible person/still dispensable.

This really sucks and I feel bad for him. I don't even care whether the friend's post is true or not (I personally don't think it is), it should have never been posted either way. She just sounded like a pressed ex who was not over him and the threatening with the sex tape was really low. If her claims were true then it should've been settled privately, between the two of them. If she really did make it up, then she should get some help for her pathological lying tbh.

I'm really not suprised he's leaving, but I'm pretty sure the company played a part too. Idk the woman's Facebook post rang to me at worst exaggerated truths because why post something on your personal Facebook like that if there wasn't some air of truth to it? Either way will never really know the truth

I can't say this isn't the reality I wanted. I hope their company realized that adding new members wasn't such a good idea after all, especially when they don't have the resources for extensive background checks on them. The original members have been working so hard, it's been hard to see them suffer and have their reputation damaged by this scandal.

Wondering if people realize that even if his story is actually the correct version of events he's still a piece of shit, less deserving of leaving the group, but still an ass.
